where i live leadville CO. they had to close down the line due to too many accidents. the grade was 3%. downhill and the sulfiric acid they were carrying was so corrosive that that when the cars were running through it the bottoms were gone in 1 day and the railroad had to buy everybody new cars so they had to shut it down permanently.
