Siripagama is located in the region of Sabaragamuwa. Sabaragamuwa's capital Ratnapura (Ratnapura) is approximately 12.9 km / 8.0 mi away from Siripagama (as the crow flies). The distance from Siripagama to Sri Lanka's capital Colombo (Colombo) is approximately 68 km / 42 mi (as the crow flies).
🔴 Dumpus Ella Fall is a small but enchanting waterfall situated in the Gilimale area in Ratnapura District. To access the waterfall, travel along Gilimale - Siripagama road. Passing Gilimale you will come across Induruwa Bridge. The fall is not visible to the road due to a bend in the river. Just as you pass the bridge, there is a footpath to the left which will take you to the waterfall.
This is a popular bathing place for travellers to Sri Pada mountain.
🔴 Situated amongst medicinal herbs, the 141 m high Mapalana Ella ( also known as Mapanana Ella) fall consists of three sections and is served by a stream (Minuwan Dola? Heen Ella Dola? ) which originates from the Thoranabandigala (or Kondagala?) in the Samanala mountain range. This stream joins Kalu Ganaga river further down. During the rainy season the simultaneous flows can be heard from up to 6km away.
🔴 The 9m-high Halmehi Ella Fall originates from a stream in Lihinigala, which is joined by another small brook. As with Hal Falls, local villagers claim to hear the sound of clothes being washed coming from the water.
The 1.5km route to the fall from Mapalana village, Sri Paladabedda GS area (22km from Ratnapura), is difficult.
The route to the waterfall lies in the same route to the more popular Mapalana (Mapanana) Falls. There is a small path to the left little before the Mapalana Falls.
