I wish I had the talent of Al Stewart (have all his albums) but the people who put this video together! I consider the song to be perfectly put together and the video a perfect companion to it. Just perfect! Thank you so much!
Respect and all my love to this great artist good memories the best days of my life love and respect Mr Al stewart kisses from the Heart rachid morocco❤❤❤❤
Good soundtrack...never heard that track before. Lovely animation here...takes you away on a journey just for a few minutes in time before heading back to reality once again....the colours in this piece are amazing.
Wonderful. An animated definition of Chromesthesia. Musically, there is so much happening that you have to mark the highlights of the music, like notching a tree to find your way in a forest. I got lost until the sax came in, and then I knew where I was and where I was going. I need to have this looped and hang out with it for a while.
Part of this song is a vignette about the film "Casablanca." While the film starts out in Paris, the film is not about Paris per se, rather it's about a group of expatriates trapped in Casablanca, Morocco during the Second World War. The song mentions actor the Peter Lorre, who in the film, is indeed "contemplating a crime."
Born in England, of an Irish father with connections to a Spanish conquistador and an Australian mother, descended from Northern Irish Catholics whose first job was helping treat Holocaust survivors in Melbourne, I am very interested in this. I spent 3 wonderful years in Paris with an English woman, the very image of the Spanish actress, Victoria Abril. We shared a flat in the Shadow of the Arche de Triomphe, teaching English and laughing at her records of being mistaken for les femmes Italienne, being complemented by les hommes Parisiennes. Travelling around Paris and les banlieus even travelling around France with my beloved Sheila's friends! Her ability to make friends for life and speak not just la Francais but other languages!
Mais Oui! Unfortunately the people who were supposed to watch over Sheila's house failed to do their job and let it get taken over by a bunch of 'party animals'! We had to leave Paris and return to Edinburgh. While Sheila continued in her language expertise, moving to Chinese! I had to work in Tourism, until I became epileptic, but we stayed together. She got a flat in Kunming, China and for years went on visits to translate Chinese poetry. I joined her annually for holidays around China and she continued to make friends there. Finally, Covid skewered tourism in Edinburgh, she was unable to return to the China and friends she had made, and I lost my job. Finally, in March 2021 she died in my arms and the cursed 'regulations' meant none of her friends from all over the world could attend her funeral! I had to move to a flat made out of an old mansion, she had suggested I buy. But I have followed her advice and am working on a book she suggested: 'The People of Edinbugh Castle". From the earliest times to when it was used as a POW camp during the Napoleonic Wars.
I think that song would be amazing! I can totally picture it. It will have to go on the wish list for now. The couple longer songs I've done went a little off the rails, and I'm hoping with the next update the longer videos will process smoother.
Delightful art but it does not match the song. Do you know who Bogart or Peter Lorre are? You might go back and listen to the lyrics and try again. The Japanese Anime really does not fit but it is pleasant to look at. Listen to the first line of the song and watch the movie Casa Blanca. I bet you come up with something outstanding! Good luck!
@@kirivividjourney I've enjoyed A Whiter Shade of Pale by Procol Harum since it's release. In fact at my daughter's wedding I choose A Whiter Shade of Pale sung by Annie Lennox as our Father Daughter Dance. It was unbelievable.
This animation is stunning - really beautiful and inventive. Fits with the song perfectly.
This is lovely. One of my favorite songs from the 70s.
Mine too! I just got tears watching this! The illustrations are wonderful
beautiful animation... I've always loved that song...blends nicely together
Absolutely beautiful. So glad I found it. Thank you🙏🏻💜🩷💛💚
This is incredible! Thank you for the art, your interpretation of this beautiful song.
I first heard him before he had this hit through his longer songs. Always liked him
Born in Scotland, raised in England, lived most of his adult life in California. Still, I associate Al Stewart with Paris. A wonderful video!
@@rodweeks9607 I knew he was from the UK but didn't realize he spent so much of his life here in California. Makes me like him more!

The song is a masterpiece. Also this watercolor video is great! Great job, thank you!
One of my all-time favourite songs just got infinitely better.
I was 18 when this was released. My memories are few, but the song will always be there.

Beautiful! I love the clothes. Everyone looking so nice and polished!
Yes, in a perfect world, women only wear skirts and dresses and 85% of them fall just above the knee. The other 15% fall mid-calf.

Paris… Casablanca… It makes little difference when the song and the artwork are both delightful.
A classic now aided by visuals.

Which AI?
Definitely a “watercolor in the rain.” Interesting, but I don’t care for anime inspired girls. The cats were nice though.
