I think Kev said it best in the first mission that Cold War felt like the original Black Ops. Is a CIA team getting into a firefight in cold war era Berlin accurate? No. Does it look and feel cool? absolutely. Also, gotta give credit to Adler for being a certified badass while making the 70's aesthetic look cool with his aviators, bushy hair, and brown leather jacket, all he needs is a mustache and he's that one shady guy from every 70's action movie ever.
It was a decent first draft. Give it more time to develop, actual talent behind the development, characters (including the player) with personality and not just paper thin that services the plot, a villian who actually has an impact and isn't just "the big bad we need to stop" (yes I know Zakaev was basically the same thing but we the chain of events helped set him up), the original voice actors for Mason, Woods, and Hudson (BO1 not Michael Keaton from BO2), and customization and "freedom" that BO2 had (multiple different endings, side objectives to help with said endings, and actual choices with actual consequences), and BO Cold War could've been a return to form for Call of Duty. Sadly we live in a clown world where talent is second to what checks a box and short term profit is more important than long term consequences.

@@Mace_Window_ Have you ever played the campaign? Because it is a massive jump in quality above multiplayer. Also Zombies is good. Also some may say you have terrible taste for your TH-cam account being based on the Star Wars prequels. (Not me I actually like them)
Cold War has some great qualities while also some big drawbacks for us Treyarch fans: Pros: I think it’s universal that the campaign does the most heavy lifting for this game, the overall missions with its large cast of characters help satisfy the casual players & story mode lovers. The runtime is pretty short and without playing the optional missions or mysteries can feel a bit hollow but engaging with them and participation in finding the hidden clues and puzzles does feel rewarding if you complete them in the end, and after 100% the entire game can sway the player to play it again on a different account and get different endings (I’ve done this too 4 times). On that note the campaigns biggest strength is different ending choices, while it’s not as large and multiple choice as its predecessor Bo2 it has enough to get people to go back and play again. Its biggest flaw is that without playing the optional missions it’s ridiculously short. Even completing Bo2 without doing any of the strike force missions felt pretty satisfactory CW seems so abrupt and anti climactic from the beginning to the end. Neutral: multiplayer IMO doesn’t really help or harm CW it just feels like it’s there to just add another game mode, I mean one can have tons of fun it’s not pointless just it doesn’t feel new or innovative or interesting. It’s just there for multiplayer fans who want to go back to the 60’s - 80’s vibes and one critique I have is the there not that many weapons in each firearm category it all feels so short especially to other Treyarch titles where weapons were plentiful (At RELEASE I mean). So this section doesn’t really add or take away from the game. Cons: Now you have to understand one big criticism about this game was the release. If you aren’t aware go watch ACT MAN’S review about CW but the short of it is. It was extremely buggy, and I mean EXTREMELY BUGGY! The game would always crash on multiple different online matches causing you to always reset and restart your progress for a number of times and it even affected the campaign too! A section that has always been an OFFLINE mode! The cutscene would often go at 2x the speed and then freeze then pick up as normal before it would repeat again, while the dialogue stayed its normal pace. This whole thing kinda ruins the immersion and interest in the story unless your only watching for comedy than I’m sure you’ll have great time. This series was really not ready to be released in the state it was but good ole Activision just couldn’t give these studios the damn time and energy for their work. Zombies: now this is a hot take but I believe that not only is BO4 Zombies better than CW Zombies, But CW started the death of Zombies.
Comrade i am sorry no body read this comment you worked hard to produce but i agree with everything plus the act man thing, but i feel like zombies started to fall off in bo4 and that transitioned over to CW and if bo6 saves it may have a downwards spiral
Cold War is honestly my favorite recent CoD in years, the campaign, multi-player and zombies were amazing and I sunk more hours in that game than MW19/22 and Vanguard.
BO3 and BO4 were both far worse than Cold War. BO4 didn't even have a campaign, had worse graphics than BO3, really bad design choices, an ugly black-barred HUD, and just overall felt like a soulless version of CoD. Kind of like MW3, whose campaign feels so poorly made it might as well not exist, and the rest of the game is about as corporate of a cash grab as you can possibly make.
It goes for free very often on console and when it does a wave of new players download game play few matches get miserable and delete it or some few actually grind on the game only to regret it later

Holy crap bro wrote a whole ahh essay and only got 4 likes and zero replies 😢
@@NateHiggers-i6c yeah man makes me sad. lol but all seriousness nobody wants to read a long giant comment so it’s all good.
@tuauafiafiahoching1753 bro I am so sorry that no one reads these types of comments
Comrade i am sorry no body read this comment you worked hard to produce but i agree with everything plus the act man thing, but i feel like zombies started to fall off in bo4 and that transitioned over to CW and if bo6 saves it may have a downwards spiral
This game was criminally underrated
My least favorite black ops game is 4
Additionally The music in the game and the Menu screen absolutely slaps
Bo4 was the worst black ops 💀
Bro it’s the exact same with what people said about Ghost but this one is actually amazing.
How are you going to call it worse than bo4 this game is amazing
People tend to forget BO4 exists in the first place.
Cold War was a breath of fresh air for the veterans and OGs of Call of Duty and tbh i had more fun playing this that mw2 or mw3( the new ones)
bro forgot bo4 exists
It’s ok, but needed a lot longer in the cooker. Love your channel and you voice is iconic.
you better rename this vid bruh
Cold War is honestly my favorite recent CoD in years, the campaign, multi-player and zombies were amazing and I sunk more hours in that game than MW19/22 and Vanguard.
This mf really just called Cold War the worst black ops? Its not even top 5 worst Cods if you ask me
"Black Ops: Cold war is the worst cod." Black Ops 4:
Sorry Kev but this isn't the worst black ops game you are looking for BO4
BO3 and BO4 were both far worse than Cold War. BO4 didn't even have a campaign, had worse graphics than BO3, really bad design choices, an ugly black-barred HUD, and just overall felt like a soulless version of CoD. Kind of like MW3, whose campaign feels so poorly made it might as well not exist, and the rest of the game is about as corporate of a cash grab as you can possibly make.
The worst black ops is 4
It goes for free very often on console and when it does a wave of new players download game play few matches get miserable and delete it or some few actually grind on the game only to regret it later
