    Halito, for anyone wondering, the size of the ball used in this video was 2.65 inches.

      @@kaystewart7092 I purchase them from a local shop here in MS called Fashion and Fabrics. Additionally, I've heard of people buying online through Facebook powwow groups.

    I finally finished this ornament. I used a 3.27 inch diameter ball from Hobby Lobby, 4 1/2 yards of thread. I made my first line with 9 bugle beads because 11 was too long and you have to have an odd number of bugle beads so you can make the diamonds. I made 13 stacks of the stacks at the top and bottom.

    Suggestion for closing the bearded net: Instead of using a rolled sheet of paper, use a tube from paper towel roll (or toilet paper) and apply a couple strips of doubles sides tape to hold the net in place. This will give you more control when closing the net

      I used a styrofoam cylinder and pins to hold it still.

    Hello, I’m wondering if you ever use Fireline thread? Would it last longer, be more difficult to use or be as pliable on the bulb? Thanks so much.

    Hi, what a beautiful idea. what size is the ball. how long should I make the thread

    • @kaystewart7092

      I made one using a 3.27 inch diameter plastic ornament from Hobby Lobby. I made my first row have 9 bugle beads instead of 11 and I made 14 stacks instead of 11. I used 4 1/2 yards of thread. The bottom looked like the example but the top wasn’t as snug. Next time I’ll try 13 stacks and see if it’s big enough to slip over the ball. It turned out pretty,

    Wish you could have at least shown how to start the next row to give you a idea of how to go about that. Sorry not everyboby knows how to do this and needs a little more steps.

      Hello. I think I’m stuck too with you ladies. Did any of you figure the next row out? I’m wondering if you do 12 instead of 11🤔

    • @kaystewart7092
      @kaystewart7092 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I finally figured it out. After you make the five diamonds, you then just put 1 seed bead, 1 bugle bead and then 4 seed beads. You run your thread, skipping the last seed bead, and go through the first three of the stack of 4. This puts your thread at the bottom between the stack of 4 seed beads and the last bugle. You are now going to make the next row of diamonds going up. Every time you finish the stack of 4 seed beads ( either when you’re at the top or the bottom) you do the 1 bugle, 3 seed, 1 bugle, 1 seed and go through the middle seed bead of the previous line of diamonds 13:55 Then to make the rest of the diamonds you get 1 seed, 1 bugle, 3 seed, 1 bugle, 1 seed. I didn’t know what size ball she used but I got a 3.27 cm one and the finished netting wasn’t enough to cover it. Then I got the next smallest and it met going around but the netting was too long. If anyone knows what size ball, please comment!

    I am so confused - when I get to the bottom of the 2nd row how do I close it up because I have only got 1/2 diamond????? Then, how would i start the 3rd row? Thank you.

    • @ChoctawCulturalLegacy
      @ChoctawCulturalLegacy  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Apologies, yes, start a new row. Just add 1 seed bead, 1 bugle, 4 seed to make your stack. When you get to the end of the 3rd, begin the 4.

    A pool noodle section and straight pins could also be used instead of a paper roll.

    • @ChoctawCulturalLegacy

      Hey and thank you! Hillary did do a great job. Also the thread is size d beading thread and is not elastic or stretchy. Let me know if you have any other questions and thanks for watching!

      What size ball did you use? I made the ornament and it did not cover the 3.27 cm ball I had. I made 11 bead stacks st the top and bottom and used the same size bead and bugle beads as you.

      @@kaystewart7092 Hey it has been a while since we recorded this video, but I think a good estimate is somewhere between 3 - 3.27 inches. If I come across new info I'll be sure to pass it along.

      1. After completing the last diamond of the second row, add the following beads in this order: 1 seed bead, 1 bugle bead, and 4 seed beads.
      2. Similar to how you completed the first row of the project at 2:22, skip the last seed bead you just pulled through and thread through the other 3 beads to make your stack.
      3. For the first diamond of the third row, add 1 bugle bead, 3 seed beads, 1 bugle bead, and 1 seed bead.
      4. After completing the first diamond of the third row, repeat the pattern of 1 seed bead, 1 bugle bead, 3 seed beads, 1 bugle bead, & 1 seed bead until you have completed your last diamond.
