    Omgosh! Look at that flat fretboard!!! You could iron a shirt on that classic guitar!

    Excellent, Sergio! I really like your tutorials on the Brazilian classics and I would love to see you do more of them for many of the other beautiful Bossa Nova songs. I also appreciate that most of your tutorials on Brazilian and Spanish songs are approachable for intermediate guitar players and not just for advanced guitarists.

      Thanks Bob, I do try and go for pieces that suit intermediate players as that is the main level of my members and audience though there are some advanced guitarists that do the course as well. The Brasilian pieces do tend to be in the advanced category but I try and make my arrangements as playable as possible. Feel free to keep suggesting pieces that you would like covered and I will see if I can tackle them. I have had a lot of gigs and rehearsals the last month or so and also teaching guitar full time so I have not posted as much as I would like but I have a couple of weeks off work so should be able to get some more content up over that time!

    Would be great if you could start by playing the whole song through.

      I admire your style to give contribution for other guitarists. It is essy to follow your arrangements and your notation is clear. It is not cleaver to create technically exstremely difficult construction. Guitar playing is enjoyable, if everyone can play immendiately using your manuscripts. best regards - ht

    Good lesson but what is missing is you playing the whole thing all the way through -maybe that is somewhere else!

    Do you have the sheet music for this simplified version? I can only see the more complex one.

      Do you mean a version with just chords?

    • @jixal
      @jixal ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@latinguitarmastery Yup, that's what I was meaning ^_^. I find its very useful to initially learn the chords, be comfortable with them, then afterwards the melody pieces are like a modular addition that's easier to understand; as they often fit around the chord shapes.

      Ok! Thanks for the feedback. I will do a version wit just chords and let you know when it’s available!

    Heya, your lesson would be quite useful if you knew how to pass on your knowledge. It is quite chaotic instead and took me quite a while to follow your line of thinking. If you were conversing with someone who is at your level, ie knows the song and chord progressions, it would by a valuable exchange of observations. However, this is supposed to be an instruction, and, as such, it requires a fair amount of good will to stay with you line of thought. Obviously you know music theory, but it is useless when you share it not knowing how to make it accessible to someone not versatile in this area. Also, I don't know how you hear Brazilian music, but I found chords that sound better than your solutions. And why do you name a chord Bb7#11 if there is no 11 in it. It is simply Bb7/-5. Having said that, it was useful to a certain extent, and I used some of your chord shapes, but if you aim to confuse people thinking they will pay you thinking you will make it easier to learn, you fail miserably. You are lousy teacher, sorry.

      b5 = #11

    • @longus4
      @longus4 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@latinguitarmastery True, but 11 is 4 and there is no 4 in B7. besides, nobody in Brazil uses it like this.
