⁠acting like what, dude? this isn't even adolescent angst... they were fully grown men when they made these songs and they're fully grown men performing them. matter of fact, i believe this song is about geoff losing his best friend and his girlfriend in a very brutal fatal car crash. nothing about this is "im a teenager and im mad/sad", it's "i wrote this song about a very traumatic moment in my life and it still invokes emotions from not only me, but a lot of other people". how strange of you to put down music for making people FEEL? find something meaningful and important to do in the world, then maybe you wont feel so bitter about their livelihoods.
