Amazing video dude, regional bus systems this comprehensive are very rare here in the US, the only ones I can think of are NJT that covers most of New Jersey and CT transit that covers a decent part of Connecticut. I live in the Washington DC area, and we have 10 different local transit agencies that connect to the DC Metro (which also runs a reginal and city bus system). This is a metro area of 6 million and its one of the highest areas of the US for transit ridership (outside of NYC). I like how that in Germany there isn't endless sprawl, and small towns can get good bus service with connections to rail. Vilen Dank!

Hey Sammy, thanks for watching! I've been watching your videos for a while too and really enjoy the local DC area insights you give!
It's true, urban development is a good deal denser and more concentrated here than in the US which of course helps transit ridership. Though some (more rural) regions in Germany definitely still struggle with decent regional bus service.
What I really hope is adapted one day in the US is regional ticket integration like we have here. Then it wouldn't be a problem anymore if you have 10 bus operators in one metro area, because your ticket would be valid on a zonal basis regardless of the operator or even mode of transit you're riding.
I hope you get to make a trip over here at some point. There is a lot of variety to discover!

@@bahnspotterEUno way! Thanks for watching, the smartrip card can be used on all the regional bus systems but a day pass for metro doesn’t work on those. Also the commuter rail services in MD and VA have their own ticketing system. I’d be nice if they were all under the same payment system.
