Shock pliers are only 15 dollars. You are destroying your shafts and pinching the casing ruining the shocks with those household pliers. Shock pliers are made of soft aluminum to protect the shocks from damage.
Possible for a few mm. You can extend the shocks by unscrewing the lower part of the shock (ball head seat) away from the stem. I'd add super glue and no hard jumping.

Afraid not. Just cut with scissors and finish off with a grinding the edges with a dremel or any handheld rotatory tools
alternatively just run the thing, and the tires will cut the body out for you

Still on stock oil, but I like to use Black Magic Silicon Tire Gel, lol I like my shocks firm.
stock is 30 wt silicone shock oil.

actually the shock is also mounted on an angle, so pythagoras would say it'd be more than 4mm, e.g. 5mm if the triangle is 3:4:5

I forgot to mention that on the video, I normally put cloth around the shaft to protect it. A shock plier is a good tool, thanks
