Ok ranch dressing homemade. 1 cup mayo, 1/2 cup sour cream, 1/2 teaspoon dried chives, 1/2 teaspoon dried dill, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon onion powder, 1/8 teaspoon salt, 1/8 teaspoon pepper.Whisk and chill for 30 mins😘.. (you can use less 1/2 cup mayo, add 1/2 cup buttermilk to thin it to “dressing”
culture shock is sooo normal...im from canada and going to europe was definitely an adjustment..things do move slower there and they enjoy the little things in life..keep living' life out there..love watching your videos!
Hi McKenzie, why people wouldn't understand your culture shock? It's perfectly normal as a young person to be in a foreign country and figuring out how another part of the world does things. I can see you settling in and slowing your pace down from your Kent pace.....That was go go go go. It's nice that you have the time to get to explore the culture, food and everything Italy has to offer. I love watching these blogs, I'm variously living my college life (circa 1986) though you! 😊

I'm only 9 minutes in, but wanted to say I really liked the mini tour of campus! Had been wondering what it looked like, so thanks for sharing a glimpse of that. Also, thanks for talking about culture shock and the overall adjustment to living somewhere else. I'm excited to watch the Q & A in the future. One thing I'd love to see in the future: since you and the roommates eat a lot of the same/similar things that you ate when at Kent it'd be fine to do a price comparison of the ingredients and what things you have to substitute, since the brands/ingredients differ in Italy. Another fun video idea: go to a local class on pottery/painting/creating something. It'd be cool to see you do this with your roommates or some of the other fashion students, and maybe include a short interview with the person who owns the store/teaches classes. One more idea: I don't know if there's thrifting in Italy, but showing us how to find fashion there, whether it's a thrift store, street market, or the equivalent of an American strip mall. + would love to hear what you're learning in your Italian and culture classes :)

Your vlogs make me miss Florence so much! Olivia with the coffee vending machine made me so sad for her haha glad she worked it out in the end, 'bicchiere' means glass so makes sense another one came out, in italy 'latte' means 'milk' and 'caffe latte' is a usual latte. Hope that helps for next time!
You've mentioned a couple of times how different the laundry situation is, but other than flat drying, you haven't said specifically how it's different. In what ways is it different? On video, the washer looks normal. Loving the longer vlogs!!

Lizzy is a fashion design major (diff classes then us three) so she happens to be on the opposite schedule of us and the other two we don’t know well/don’t talk to much/aren’t comfortable being on camera :) I try to respect what people are okay with online!!!
Hey You Do know your in the middle of history and the Renaissance era of Italy. The Medici family, Leonardo Da Vinci , all the architecture . Start researching hun, there's so much and yes start to learn to lay back some. I know you are a very high powered person, and i totally respect your focus, it"s awesome; which is good at the right time. Now is the Italian lay back mode. Watch........observe. I understand the cultural change. Been there one time. I'm from Chicago to Maui.. WOW hugging and touchy, men and women. Of course I didn't mind the women . Men ... don't touch , don't touch, push them away. Wow took me a whole year to acclimate. It was just the greeting vibe, nothing meant by it. Take PICTURES of everything. Architecture, the towns, museums, landscape, everything. Who knows when you will ever be there again. Sounds like you have some spare time. First read up. DON"T ever go alone of course. Culture shock is studying in a 3rd world or less developed country, you don't know how good you have it there.
Culture shock is still culture shock. It literally speaks for itself. You don’t have to travel to those areas to experience it.
