This is absolutely true. I wore my mother's pearl ring without knowing it being suitable for me or not. Within a week i started having mood swings. I started having depressions without any reasons. After a day of removing it, all the symptoms alleviated gradually. Guys, pearl is very dangerous if it doesn't suit you. It can mess up with your mind.

Yes - Authentic pearl will be irregular in shape not oval or round.
Better to contact know astrologer. Because he/she will know your history and checks whether it suits you or not and they will suggest based on your Dasha bhukti also.
If they recommend to wear, saying no other option then keep wearng until it adjusts to you(vice-versa) - don't remove it immediately if difficulties occur(ask how many days or months it takes to show effects).
All gemstones will have side effects according to my experience so make sure to perform archane(pooja) in your ista deva or any temple before wearing.
Keep a routine to chant any mantra you like regularly which avoids negative effects of gemstones and graha doshas.

Just a question in general if I m an aquarian my accedant is capricorn & my moon is affected by ketu as they both r in same house that is in second house in my chart. So is pearl will help me? Never wear moti but you must wear yantra of moon in silver and check mercury position and must wear emerald for little help in emotions or study hanuman chalisa on saturdays
