I've been playing the game without looking at any spoilers or TH-cam videos so I've been going in blind. I know there's going to be a bit of a hot take but I'm about halfway through the game and so far I think one of my favorite Sonic games. I'd say it's up there in quality in terms of the adventure games

He’s one of my favourite vocalists ever. The moment I fought this boss and heard his voice - an unforgettable moment.
That boss battle I just fought it was epic and I like the boss battle theme as well undefeatable. Its really killing it.
Would only be better with the guy who ghost wrote it, Ronnie Radke.
I’m a lifelong FIR fan and I know his writing style. Also it helps that Kellin copied his reference tracks down to a “T” (including copying Ronnie’s signature voice cracks after long notes)
I am convinced he wrote at least the “Knight Song” find your flame, for those reasons above.
Also would make sense since the producer for most of these songs, Tyler Smyth, is the producer for Falling in Reverse.
It’s my safe assumption Kellin was just most affordable. Tbh. (Nothing wrong with that. Still sick to see warped tour vibes (my fave music) collide with my fave game)

Stars aligning doesn't mean anything, just a few gravitational tugs and maybe some excitement for astrologers wanting to find true love. However, when stars collide, which does happen in the universe, it's an *unimaginably* violent event if you happen to be anywhere nearby. One of the best moments in the series I've experienced in a long time. Honestly the Titan fights are up there with some of the other greatest boss fights of the series.

@@noba04 I haven't finished Sonic Frontiers (I have to fight the second boss very soon), but I agree with you: I LOVE the tone of the story of this game. The stories of Sonic Lost World and Sonic Colors were way too childish. In Sonic Frontiers, there is a very good balance with humor, serious, action, drama and sadness. We feel empathy for Sonic, Amy, Knuckles and Tails... The tone of the story is very mature, and It's one of the many reasons why I think Sonic Frontiers is a fantastic game. Sonic Frontiers reminds me the magic of the two Sonic Adventures, their Stories were excellent, funny, moving, sad and epic!

Bro where were you this whole time? I needed a friend like you during that time because my friends thought I was insane with my music taste. Although my music was naturally just all kind of rock genre during that time. I was 4 years old during that time and still onto now listening still to rock. As a child, I completely loved rock and every time I heard it, I would jump off the ground started to air guitar and smashing my fist as if I was playing the drums, also screaming my lungs and throat out too! LOL! I assure we would've got along and just talk about our favorite bands and songs and what we wish to learn to play during that time.
You could always see the anime inspiration in Sonic as a whole, but this imo is easily the most shonen it has ever felt. So glad frontiers turned out good.

This titan casually pitched Sonic like a dead gnat at first. Even with the chaos emeralds in Sonic's charge this titan is still an incredible threat, and is even more powerful than JUST overwhelming as it initially seemed
The Ancients weren't playing around when they built this guardian to take on the power of the emeralds and it shows

I love the sense of escalation in Frontiers. Each island feels like its own miniature Sonic game with the Guardians acting as boss enemies, and then the Titans are a final boss.
I think it is interesting that the Titan seems to ignore you at first, but becomes VERY aggressive when Sonic uses the chaos emeralds to go Super. I have not gobe through the entire game, yet. However, it seems that the Ancients kept the chaos emeralds contained as if it is facility straight out of the SCP universe pulling out all the stops to prevent them from escaping.
• There are multiple special keys required to remove the barrier holding each emerald.
• All emeralds are spread apart in unique locations on the same island.
• Automated weaponry that shoots Sonic down and forces him out of his Super form and have devices that draw the emeralds to them to be contained.
• Guardians have keys required to get the keys for the chaos emeralds that csn only be extracted via their destruction with each island having Guardians specifically designed to work best in the given micro-ecosystem.
The Ancients were clearly afraid of the chaos emeralds, despite having very advanced so much so that even Eggman emits that it surpasses anything he has made (when no one was around). In contrast, the Echidnas treated the emeralds as something almost divine/sacred.

Dude, when I heard this during the first boss fight, I had the dumbest smile on my face out of excitement and awe. It was probably one of the most badass moments I've ever experienced in this franchise, and this is from the FIRST boss! I can only imagine how the other bosses will fare...

This is the type of tone shift I wanted from the series since Sonic 06. 2010's robbed me of that, but it looks they finally delivered. This is the Sonic I grew up to love and admire.

Words can not describe how genuinely hype and happy I was when this song first plays during the first Titan battle. It feels so good to have an intense and exhilarating Sonic boss fight again. So far (I've only beaten the first island) this game has been an absolute treat as a longtime Sonic fan and how it's handling it's story and characters is something I've wanted to see for so long in the games. This game feels confident and like it wants to show us a cinematic and epic story and I am all here for it. And I really enjoy the open zone style of Sonic too it's really fun goin around speeding through stuff and doing all these platforming challenges
I thought the dialogue with Amy felt kind of weird 😂. He voice was deeper than Sonic’s on some parts.
@@ballystarr89 I kinda liked it. How Amy's story/interactions with Sonic progressed kinda required a more chill and somber vibe at times which I think Sonic's voice acting by Roger Craig Smith achieved very well
I also am loving it, I beat the first island kinda fast because of the hype but now I'm taking my time on the second island and this game is definitely flawed but it's a huge step in the right direction for Sonic.
I hope the next game does this but with the narrative scale of Sonic Adventure, imagine how cool that would be.

This new era of Sonic The Hedgehog feels so weird and different, but in a good way. As someone who became a fan in 2007, I can see they have improved on Sonic games so much. I can definitely see that they also made this game with love straight from their heart along with the game’s music too. Great job SEGA & Sonic Team. I’m really impressed! Makes such a big difference and a change out of all of Sonic’s OSTs!

Bro as a huge metal and rock fan, sleeping with sirens making a sonic song is literally the best thing ever. And since it’s them, the song doesn’t disappoint. I’m only on the second island and yet I can’t get over this godsend of a song. Please add this to Spotify.
The song was also written by Tyler from Dangerkids and Julian from Loveless! With guitars by MEG. Truly an insane collab, Ohtani is awesome for coordinating this! I really really hope they come back on board for future songs, I really wouldn't mind if the 4 of them were the designated "Sonic Band" for now, the way Crush 40 was in the 2000s.

I will never forget the amount of hype I had when I first faced Giganto. The fact that the first boss felt like a final boss was already enough to give me a huge smile that I was going to enjoy the rest of the game after the letdown that Forces gave me. Hopefully all of the positive feedback the community has given about Frontiers serves as a wake up call to SEGA that this is what we want and hope to see more of it in Sonic’s future

What I like about Super Sonic is that unlike other game you don't get a new move set. Its the same move set as you have in the base game, but super-fied.
Let's be real this is the only time a boss-locked Super Sonic has been satisfying to play because in pretty much every other Sonic game with a boss-locked Super Sonic all he can do is slam his face into things
@@Aisubun Disagree, most Super Sonic bosses are pretty cool. Also, Heroes did the same thing in its final boss, you have all the same moves as normal but stronger.

And I think sometimes the tone can carry the bosses, despite being mechanically boring I think Perfect Chaos and Final Hazard are both really good Super Sonic bosses, but most of the time I don't really get hyped. Sonic 3, Gens, Mania, Advance 1 and 2, Rush, Colors DS, and Gens 3DS really don't do anything for me. Everything else I haven't gotten to so I can't speak for them.

This game was TOO GOOD. In fact, it was such an amazing experience playing Sonic Frontiers, that I can’t even describe it. The best part, was obviously, the Titan boss fights. The heavy metal music mixed with Super Sonic’s insane fighting moves somehow makes the perfect boss fights. Thank you for everything Sega! Please make the next game like this one, because this was an enormous success.

The whole time I was fighting the titan I kept saying "this sounds exactly like a sleeping with sirens song" and I was amazed to see they actually got Kellin in the game.
I would pay to have a remaster version of adventure with this tone, actually took me off guard. Definetly gave life to frontiers as a tittle.

Would want a full on remake of the game instead of a remaster if SEGA are willing to give Sonic Team the resources for it. We’ve already had the game “remastered” in the form of Adventure DX which just made the game buggier and look worse.
Imagine the entire game with modern visuals and a story with presentation as good as Frontiers, Heroes style Big the Cat gameplay instead of fishing, and a completely overhauled Chao Garden with online features n such.
Also, on the tone part, I’d love the whole game to have a remastered OST with this in mind. Imagine the Perfect Chaos fight with a heavy metal remix of Open Your Heart blasting in the background, with Super Sonic combat and music synced QTEs like Frontiers.
@@Kingnorm04 Exactly! I'd rather they take the Base plot and Script from both games and fine tune them better. Hell, they could even start a new continuity (I'm not saying make it like the stupid 'Two Worlds Canon' bull****, I'm saying start from a clean slate in terms of writing) where Sonic saves Shadow from falling and goes back to Earth with the others and the two hold a valuable respect for one another like they originally did.
