    I have an Astrolux EA01 with 5000K SST 40, the light is one of my favorites due to the neutral tint. I believe the beam seems similar to the IF 22A, just with neutral tint.

      Hey Jack, I prefer 5000-6500k for throwers... Better visibility. There's quite a few lights that throw around the 500m mark but I am always searching around for lights that can do it in a smaller body. No doubt, LED efficiency will keep increasing and we'll have miniature throwers with the same specs as these lights soon.

      @@DarrenYeoYT I was considering an IF22A, however, from the looks of the cold tint just does not seem to suit my preference. Like the EA01 as an alternative for the neutral tint. Great video as always.

    Another solid video Darren! I do wish you got the ts11 in there but life happens 😂. I have the sofirn IF22a, the sc18 and the ts11 and I keep going back to the ts11. It just feels right in the hand. I also feel that way about my fc12... I have better rated lights but those just feel the best to me.

      Hi Graham, yep could have sworn I had it in there but forgot on the day. I do have another TS11 review video with beamshots at that same location. The FC12 is a great value tactical light and sure there are brighter ones but this one is just so convenient to carry around.

      @DarrenYeoYT I did pop over and rewatched the ts11 video for the beam shots. I definitely agree with you on the fc12. One of my favorite lights so far, especially for the price point.

    Fireflylite T1R, Acebeam L19 V2.0 and L35 depending on which beam profile you like best, Manker MK37, and Emisar DM11.

    sofirn sc18 can easily be opend for emitterswitch. the ring on the head can be unscrewed. you can use a common pipe pliers and for not scratching the anodisation, i did put a old piece of an old belt-leather between the head and the pliers. for countering the force i used my other hand on the tube. Same procedure on the Wurkkos TS11 and the Sofirn IF22A. The other models i dont have. so i don't know.

      Hi Adriano, thanks for the tip, it'd be interesting to swap in an SFT40/W2 for increased throw.

    Both the Sofirn IF22a and the Acebeam P16 have the most useful hotspot with good throw (even if not the farthest). The lower price of the Sofirn would be the tie breaker.
    But what about the Nitecore beamshot?

    • @DarrenYeoYT
      @DarrenYeoYT  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep, it'd come down to whether you'd want to pay for extra for the tactical UI and premium construction of the P16. The Nitecore? You mean the MH12SE?

      It probably produces the most light. I use a Samsung 30T in it and also bypassed the spring.
