Did you ever try ceramic bearings? Steel are just rated to 50,000 rpm. Ceramic is good to 100,000. AliExpress has SMR52C Ceramic Hybrid for $2.50 each. I'm going to try them out on 1202.5 motors.
I was not aware of an RPM rating between bearing types.. Interesting... Makes sense why they put ceramic in turbochargers.. Thank you for the feedback, I'll have to look into this...👍🏻🍻👊🏻
what's the verdict on the ceramic bearings? I've had a few goes now at swapping for cheepo steel bearings and they have all died really quick, like they are worse than the ones i took out in a few packs. Had one die on the first crash so not had any luck so far. This is on my 1407 (t motor) / 1606 (emax). Need to try some quality bearings but its so tight to the price of new motor im not sure it works out.
Hello Everyone! Thank you for checking out my channel and subscribing.. Here is a start to finish micro motor bearing replacement. I apologize about the audio, just trying a different setup. Got some bugs to work out. Enjoy the Breeze...👍🏻🍻👊🏻
I need to get bearings for my 1408 4000kv Mamba 4S motors.. I think I'll spring for the NSK ones.. I'll definitely look into "FastEddy" ones. Thanks for the info...🍻
Do u have any idea about the ID and OD of those bearings I kept Couple of motor aside coz of this bearing issue and I want to replace them but not able to get exact dimension so please help.. Thank you..
I will take note of this, thank you for the information. I think it would be cool to have a handful of quality bearings handy. My favorite Quad is a few years old now and is in need of new bearings.
@@PropsOff Thanks to your video, I fixed one of the clicky motor bearing on my Tinyhawk 2 FS with bearing from a 3010 fan laying around. They are exactly the same size (2x5x2.5mm). 👍🏻
Nice one for make this video, I'm gonna try this on my motor spares bag and hopefully give some of them a new life! If your sourcing new bearings, what dimensions do you have to go by. Are they normally listed showing the ID, OD and thickness? Where do you source yours from?
I've had better luck just replacing the motor. If I'm going to replace a bearing, I'd do both. The problem I've had is one or the other the outer ring is stuck in so good, I end up tearing the motor to shit trying to pop out the ring. Ah, I just had an epiphany. I need to find a punch just the same size as the outer ring of the bearing. Damn it. I've wasted good motors over the past. Where do you get your bearings? Thanks.
If you have lots of motors needing bearings, bulk bearings pack may be the way to go. Above is the link to the bearing size I pulled in this video. Have a great day...👍🏻🍻👊🏻

Fast Eddy bearings are what I've been using. No complaints so far. The NSK bearings from pyro are probably better but more expensive.

good source for those small bearings are computer brushless fans. If you've got some scrap PCs it might be worth to take a look.

I appreciate you coming back and telling everyone the motor and bearing size.. This will help someone 4shO...👍🏻🍻👊🏻

I have not sourced them. I have enough damaged ones to keep me in repairs for a bit.. OD x ID x thicknesses
@@PropsOff Thanks again for the info bro! 😁

I get my bearings from motors with burned windings. Just a benefit of hanging at the races.. A box of different sizes..
Cool. 👍 i wish you could just buy a set of bearings. I have a quad where multiple motors have bad bearings
