- You're an accounting student close to graduation that took an unpaid internship at an accounting firm. On your first day, the accountant you're working with, Jean, seems to be hiding something. It's soon revealed that the firm you work for is actually a front for the Mafia, and you get dragged into an underground mission to get back property of the Mob.

I really hope this becomes a series of mostly self contained stories where the punchline is that at the end of every episode Jean and the intern are so close of screwing over the mafia and living like they deserve but then something happens and it all falls apart and jean is just more and more unhinged. I love this setting

I'm glad you liked it! I came up with the idea because I noticed that literally every mafia audio is told from the perspective of either the boss or the boss' son. It's never about goons or associates or any of the less glamorous roles.

EDIT 2 - This just hit me, the Listener has to be an undercover cop, babygirl did not hesitate to grab the gun and shoot. And she probably f’ed up her aim on purpose to avoid raising suspicion.
EDIT 3 - I have a feeling that if my theory was correct that Listener would’ve led John to her employers and they’d both have to play both sides
