Anyone who was disappointed by their results and thinks they can't do it, here's my story. I was a below average student all my life because i didn't like studying. I used to fail tests in school and my teachers feared that i'd fail O levels. I got two D's in pakistan studies and Islamiat and my teachers were sure that i'd do worse in O2.
I proved them wrong and got finished O Levels with 4A's 2B's 1C and 2D's in Engineering.
Then came A level, I didnt really enjoy any subject besides chemistry and maths. I wanted to take Chemistry and maths and another subject but my dad forced me to opt for Commerce subjects. I was hesitant in the start but he managed to convince me to take Maths, Economics and Accounting. This is the first time I actually studied because I ENJOYED studying the subjects and got AAB in my AS and by A2 I was hungry for better grades and finished A levels with A* A* A in Accounting, Maths and Economics respectively. I got better A level grades than students with more A's than the total amount of subjects I had in O levels. I defied all odds because I didnt believe in the stereotypes I was told about switching to commerce in A levels and believed that I could do it. Now I am at a top UK university studying accounting and finance with the best GPA amongst all Pakistanis that i compete with (bear in mind that they all have 9+ A*'s/A's in O levels and Straight A's in A levels)
My point; as cliche as it sounds; You make your own limits and giving up is always the easy way out.

Whoever that is reading this comment and just got his or her results, I just have a few things to say. I was in your position back in 2013. I got 2 As in pak studies and isl in O2 and got 4Bs and 2cs(bio and chem) in O3. I still remember telling my mom my grades and she started crying. It felt like someone had died in my family.
However, long story short, it took me a long time to understand what had really happened to my life, but since that moment I worked hard and now Allhamdulilah I am going to start my senior year in UMass Boston.
My tip to you all is just keep on working hard. Its not the end of the world.

You were so chill a night before. I remember I was literally shitting my pants before the results were out! O levels were beyond my expectations! Honestly a few years down the road no one would even bother with these results.

Congratulations!!! The best part about O levels is that you get to make so many memories, ending school. And the thing is no one LITERALLY CARES ABOUT YOUR O LEVEL RESULT ever so keep moving on. I did my Olevels 4 years ago. Times flies.

Finally found someone on yt with the same subjects as me. I just got my O3 result a few days ago. I was wondering if you were in Beaconhouse bcuz I kind of recognized that branch as I've been there before (I'm also a Beaconite). Also what grades did you get in Islamiat and Pk studies? my complete result is 5As (in First lang urdu, chem, phys, sociology and Math) and 4Bs (in english, bio, islamiat and pk studies)

Metric is easy jo book main hai wo parho uss main Sai hi aiga but O AND A LEVELS main kuch repeat nahi hota tou it's way harder

I was disappointed at my result in O2 but well in O3 I got a good result so don't worry just work hard and stay positive momina

It's ok. This year's thresholds were ridiculously high. Threshold for Maths( AS) was 88%!!!!(for an A). I somehow got all As but a lot of people who I know have worked hard didn't get the results that they expected.
O level results don't matter if u want to go abroad; u just need 5Cs ( including a C in English). I however am not aware of the Pakistani university system since I am not from there.
