- 2022 BMW M4 Competition xDrive Review. The xDrive system in the new M4 Competition offers you the best of both worlds whether you need traction or need RWD fun to do some slides on the track. My test model here is the BMW M4 Competition xDrive Convertible. Unlike the various other flavors, the new BMW M4 Convertible is only available in the Competition xDrive trim. It also drops the hard-top from the outgoing model in favor of a soft-top.
Like other BMW M4 Competition xDrive models, the convertible also carries a 3.0L Twin-Turbo 6-cylinder making 503-hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. Mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, the new M4 Convertible goes from 0 to 60 comes in at 3.6 seconds, making it just .2 seconds slower than the BMW M4 Competition xDrive Coupe. That said let's take a closer look at one of the most exciting trims in the BMW M4 2022 lineup!

Ye because its ,,only” 40 kg heavyer and it can detach the front wheels but if u want to go to the snowy mountains with it you can do it.
Hard to justify spending over $100k on a BMW M4.

I have a 2021 M3 6MT in Portimao Blue. Even nearly loaded it was $78,000 prior to taxes, warranties, etc. The intangible “tingle” that car provides is unbelievable. It’s not a daily driver, but is $30,000+ less than the convertible. I can buy a loaded brand new Honda Civic as a daily (40 mpg) and still whoop 98% of all other cars on the road for the cost of that one car! In 25 years my 6MT is worth more, too!

I own one and it is a perfect car (and I’ve been driving M cars for over 20 years).
Ordered M4 convertible in Yas Marina interior + yellow. However, Jaguar dealer called me and said last year for F type R. Changed my mind & got deposit back thankfully. For $10k more got the Jag. It is the the best V8 supercharged convertible (2 seats). Also at my age (44) M4 is not the ideal ride - I see kids in parking lots screeching M4's a;; day and night. The F type R makes you feel special and is a visual beauty. Tough choice but I am happy with it. Giola green with tan leather.

I saw one the other day and from the side profile it looks so much like a mustang. It looks good, I think the M3 looks better. 💪🏻

@@omardrives Great on rain too, convertibles are not only for people in hot countries. I live in Romania, I got an M4 Convertible F83 and at least 3 months of the year it's pretty cold and sometimes snow. While in the summer we have 40+ Celcius (no clue what in imperial units :P )

Convertibles are just more fun for everybody riding in it. This car looks good until you get to the front and then it just doesn't fit with the rest of the chassis. Can't get past the booty faced laced front.
