Great job! That is a very thorough explanation and will be very helpful to anyone wanting to do this. You're a good Dad to include your son on the install!
Just wanted to say, thanks for making this instructional video. I had fumbled with that for over a half hour till I gave up. Googled it, found your video. Literally got it off in 3 minutes. The valance part of the bumper to be specific. Great video. #nowfollowing 👍fyi I hate those damn lock tabs.
Yeah, good luck doing it that way. It is *technically* possible if you have a two to four post lift and thousands of dollars worth of tools. MustangsbyMatt is all about showing how the average owner, with a jack, jack stands and a basic tool box can do anything. You try it their way and then let me know if it's easier. I'm not being sarcastic. I genuinely want to know.
@@MustangsbyMatt finally got around to installing this diffuser that I purchased from ebay (www.ebay.com/itm/293004868218?epid=4040819464&hash=item4438737a7a:g:szcAAOSwjFVfOi1z) Overall, install was easy aside from the 6 nut clips on the outer sides of the diffuser (@ 10:54 in your video). Removing/reinstalling those were tricky given the very small/confined space and would certainly have been easier with a flexible 7mm wrench like this one: www.tekton.com/7-mm-flex-ratcheting-combination-wrench-wrn57107 (or with bumper cover off). This job can be done with average DIY wrenches/sockets without having to remove the bumper cover.
It's nice to see someone working on EcoBoost mustang on TH-cam.

Thank you! My dad didn't know how to do anything on a car so it's really important for me to include him as much as I can.

Great video! Looking forward to see the quad tip install
Where did you buy the valance? And what exhaust did you end up getting?
Flowmaster mufflers and the valance was purchased at The Parts Farm in Lyons, Ga.
did you have to remove the whole bumper to change it out?
Yes
i thought you didn't have to remove the rear bumper cover to replace the diffuser? At least not on the GT, is this only an ecoboost thing?
No, you definitely have to remove the bumper.
@@MustangsbyMatt guess its a different process on GTs then? because they didn't remove the bumper cover
