Production is set to IDLE - not ended. This is pending a large contract set to be turned over to an acquiring entity. Fisker would keep its name…but there are several NDAs going around preventing the release of this info. I would expect the news VERY SOON. Magna will restart likely after the new owner provides guidance.

@@Aslash304this is from dealers around the country I talked to. They know the buyer but cannot release any details. They have signed an NDA…. But it is why they bought over 100k in service equipment each…. I’ve been to Miami and Jacksonville dealers personally.

I just checked the Magna statement and they stated as follows: ...Sollte Fisker weitermachen oder von einem anderen Unternehmen übernommen werden, könne man die Produktion wieder hochfahren.... which means, that if Fisker continues to exist (in the one or other form) they can start production again. So, Magna does not completly close the door to Fisker....
This is correct. But Fisker needs a buyer. And until then, if it happens, it’s over.

Thanks for the video. I especially noted the arbitration comment as I had already started my claim. I uploaded case numbers, results, complaints, current status. Over the weekend, I received a confirmation that my case was approved to move to interviews and that all documentation and issues have been added to my case file.

Great update. I agree 100% about how to start the Ocean. I have noticed that it gets wonky if you jump in and push the brake fast.
One of the new dealerships is near me. Lumin Auto Group. They say they will do maintenance and warranty work!

Love the channel. I need a car, and want electric. It will be my only car, and am looking for a crossover model. Because of Musk and his personal brand, I am not interested in a model Y. I was really hoping Fisker would be my car. With that clearly not the case now, what do you think is the best competitor to the model Y and best option for someone who stubbornly refuses to buy Tesla? Could be a good video.

I’m so glad I lost my deposit , test drive it but then when I heard about folks having issues even opening the vehicle. That was a level I was not willing to risk.

Did the people getting angry over the fact that you said Fisker "ends production" get dropped on their head when they were babies??? SMH. What Fisker did is akin to a Presidential candidate "officially suspending" their campaign. When a candidate does that, they are signaling that their campaign and their quest to win the Presidency is effectively over. And in this case, the production of additional Fisker cars has effectively ended. People need to stop with the childish arguments about semantics.

All you have to do is pray you never have a problem. I, coincidentally, also loge the car.
You can see the address and the EV station name in the route overview screen. Press the right top corner button in the navigation screen to get into the route overview. Only available when route is planned, of course. Otherwise, this button gets you into the navigation settings screen.

So I just thought of something. If the ocean shares the same platform as the Arc fox, do you think that it's a possibility that some of the parts are interchangeable or directly swappable? If so, we may be all right when it comes to parts.
I think there will be limited parts that they share, but it will be extremely difficult to identify them unless you can have both with you in person. Good points.

1 minute into your video you discuss the Ocean that was bricked due to the tech having to stop mid install. I'm a little less worried about this happening to most people as most installs will now be OTA. However, even when we install Windows updates on desktop and laptops, Microsoft warns us to not shut down the computer during the install. Perhaps you can brick your desktop/laptop by doing that. What I would do is to make sure the Ocean is charged every night to 90% because it seems like they don't warn you when an OS update is coming. And, I would try to see if there is a way to not great OS upgrades by disabling it somehow. I would suggest seeing what others say about the new OS by disenabling it. Then when the reviews are good to then download and install.
The car bricked because they fired the employee. Are you suggesting a way to prevent the employees from being fired with no notice
@@Aslash304 Not at all. The car bricked because the "fired" employee could not continue. What I am suggesting is that, if there is a way to defer the automatic OTA I will do that. The reason. I will want to see how others have done with the new OS to see how stable it is and validate that it's a good product. Also I would want to babysit that install by making sure I have 100% charge on the HV battery and also make sure my 12v was up to par. Any interruption would be similar to the employee getting fired.
Reservation 2/22, deposit 8/22, Ultra delivered 4//24. Car has been running flawless so far. Of course my fingers are crossed 🤞🏼and I’m hoping for the best. With my federal and state tax rebate it nets out to $27,556. I’ll take my chances. Love the ride!
Have you been able to score your tax credit? With my liability, I'm due for the whole 7500. Filed my amendment 6.5 months ago and it has been accepted, but yet to be processed. Curious if you've had better luck.

I was quite LITERALLY about to purchase one. In 2 years they went from 1st to worst.

There’s a pretty big hit to goodwill
An American EV brand like this should be a gateway for Chinese automakers to enter the US market. A Chinese car company should buy Fisker, but it doesn’t. I think that Fisker don't want to sell itself to China, or the US is blocking that kind of deal.
(I think American people also don’t like Chinese company buying US company. However, Fisker seems to not be a conservative brand, so I think the strong anti (like when there is rumored that Chinese will buy Chrysler) is unlikely.)
Sadly they thought not having a factory and control of production was better than making them yourself. Well that did not work out as everyone can see. Wonder if they could have been better off doing this in China? They might have gotten sales there and help with the software for a lot less.

It depends on when they buy it - before or after bankruptcy.
It’s all up in the air. If Fisker can convince someone to buy before bankruptcy then you would have a chance at some future value. If not, they would lose market value.

6 new dealer - I had seen the video in my playlist and thought it must be months old and did not believe it.
At the end MAGNA owner Stronach has had a long long desire to no longer be the usual supplier and become a car manufacturer which has its roots 2 decades ago . Remember how he had bid to buy the german brand Opel and Vauxhall from GM back then in the 2008 crisis and fallouts ?
GM chief of the board canceled it at the very last moment back then.
Therefore the idea to build a car for Fisker by developing their own platform was a key to become a car manufacturer able to also build a MAGNA XYZ sooner or later.
And that is the only hope that there might be whatever deal for someone being behind the EV topic like Land Rover where the ocean would fit next to the EVOQUE after a tiny design upgrade cause Land Rover is loosing ground in its home market.
Stopping the production means Fisker Inc is again going down and it has become cheaper, so we get closer to the d-day for anyone who is willing to get it for cheap.

Worst decisions have been made
So you should be upset about how Tesla laid off their supercharging team but I would caution against overreacting.
Just trying to take it from Elon and the boards perspective. Rebecca Tinucci became head of super charging in 2022 and there really has not been huge progress with super charging over that time period. Then she butted heads with them on corporate layoffs. Elon figured they overbuilt superchargers with slowing demand and if there was a time for a reset of super charging it was now.
Not trying to defend what I feel is an overreaction and a bit of an ego trip. Also lack of understanding how hard setting up the supercharger network is. Tesla superchargers have the biggest gap of any Tesla tech to their nearest competitors. Crazy to fire most of team behind that so promptly rather than a leadership change.
Just saying while there is a very good chance Tesla made a huge mistake, give it some time before rushing to conclusions.

With signing on pretty much every EV maker to switch to NACS, and they grow cars by roughly 500K per quarter, and hearing about some locations over taxed already, this doesn’t make sense to me unless sales are dropping for tesla by a few hundred thousand per quarter.
Well the over taxed superchargers are usually the results of regulatory issue and that will get worse with the layoffs for sure.
Regulation addicted Los Angeles for example is always a nightmare to charge already and it will get worse. Most areas though are not so strained and will survive if Tesla can get a new supercharging team up and running quickly.
I have concerns about Tesla leadership is underestimating how hard this will be to do.
Maybe I am biased, before these layoffs happened, I had honestly been thinking supercharger networks upgrades were going slow, particular what was taking V4 stations so long. Thought some leadership change was needed. Axing the whole department seemed crazy to me, and I am very worried the reasoning for that decision was too much emotion not enough rationally thinking through it.
Meanwhile, Hernik and Ms. Beauty didn't pay the engineering firm that help develop PEAR/Alaska...the shit show continues.

@@Aslash304 My impression was the same governance issues they have at Fisker seem to be replicating themselves at Tesla.
The hysteria over Tesla halting SC expansion is unwarranted. Have SCs stopped working? Being poorly maintained? EV sales are slowing everywhere. Hybrids outsell EVs even in California. Halting SC expansion makes financial sense during this downturn and does not conflict with the mission. Problem is we have come to expect Tesla to singlehandedly rescue the charging infrastructure. Disparage Musk all you want but Tesla still makes the safest, most reliable, excellent performing EVs on the market.
The supercharger move was short sighted. I love the cars.

The ocean was against the model x , y , the rivian r(whatever) , the Range Rover evoque and many others. I own a model x and for no reason I would trade it for any other car out there as they all alllll ugly. As in for now the model x is the best looking ev out , maybe the roadster will beat it , but it doesn’t exist.

But Magna has. And all the people who built the FO (500 in total) have been fired. And frankly saying, Fisker is not in the position to "end" or "resume" anything. They are a shell company with no real assets and a lot of debt. I hope this drama ends soon and they finally go bankrupt. This way all of us can move forward and hopefully someone will buy the company after chapter 11 and helps us.

The super charger team was idle. There was nothing more for them to do. It doesn't mean there's no more build out it means they'd gone as far as they could with the tech, and there was no more need for the engineers. The network was Elon's idea, as well as putting the necessary players in place. People don't think about how much research and effort he puts into a project to see if it is even feasible. We REALLY need to know by now these sources are trying to spread FUD. Remember Reuters quoting production from "sources" causing the stock to tank until the information was corrected by THE source during earnings?
Have you seen the email Tesla sent out to OEMs, contractors and suppliers?
@Aslash304 Yessir. Slowing their installation pace down to focus on reliability. I won't be surprised to see that ramp back up in the not so distant future with it out becoming the standard and with more cheaper models on the way. People forget how lithe and responsive they are. They see a way to reallocate those funds in the near term that'll make more sense in the long term. Then you have everybody pulling back their EV production big time. It would be fun to sit in on those board meetings. 🤔🤣
