I met Mr. Hues on a trip to L.A...despite his villain roles, he's a very kind and friendly guy in real life..he even got out of his car to greet me, it was great..!!

I LOVE 90's martial arts movies. I know they can sometimes be bad and cheesy, but there's something about them. And the fashion, LOL!... a nice suit and boots, always present.

Jason Brant channel brought me here, along with Matthias Hues, whom he was interviewing.
Always loved these B movies that could not afford real stars so they had to hire actual martial artists, and the result was the actors could actually do the fight scenes. So much better than any big budget film.
Great point! And very true! Probably a huge reason why those late 80s and 90s martial arts B movies are so entertaining and action-packed!

I do not comprehend why Jeff Wincott never became a major star of main stream movies.
His martial art skills are excellent and he is a much better actor than, say van Damme or Seagal. Hmmm...
Generick looks, lack of trademark moves like Van Damme's spinning flexible kicks or Seagal's characteristic body slams and throws. There's also a certain 'it' factor and pure luck. Daniel Bernhardt and Jeff Speakman were good in their day too. Some can go far based on their looks alone; I think you need to have a little bit of both (looks and moves) to make it big.
What was mentioned previously, but they probably also didn't sell out by doing things they didn't want to do to get acting gigs.

Oh man I watched this movie so many times as a kid. It has to be my favorite low budget movie ever. It's a shame Jeff Wincott never got more well known, he was not only good at martial arts but he could also act (way better than guys like Van Damme and Seagal).
