VFD Derating ( in Hindi) | Variable Frequency Drive Current Derating

A VFD ( Variable Frequency Drive ) derates its current rating due to higher altitude than sea level or rise in ambient temperature surrounding VFD. ‪@dineshdiwani‬
For this reason , VFD installation above sea level or in high ambient temperature requires careful consideration of its current rating and derating factor is considered.
So manufacturer specify VFD at elevated altitude of 3300 feet and temperature at 40 Degree Celsius. Outside this operating range requires derating factor to consider to fulfil motor requirement. Thats why a larger VFD is considered when installation conditions go beyond specified.
