Thanks for explaining the difference between the regular and advanced bleeding kit. The site lists the same description and contents for both, so I didn't know why one was more expensive.
Yeah they are pretty top notch. I disagree about the products though, if you bought the components in the advanced airway kit on their own you would be spending about $20 more
Thanks, I'm definitely interested in getting some of these kits. On a side-note, I checked out the website and these guys have some pretty impressive credentials.
As soon as you posted these on Instagram I was stoked and got the hybrid ifak and the basic bleeding for my car/range ifak. No complaints other than I wish that they were shorter, but it’s a moot point.
Excellent vid.. Great looking product(s) that appears to be straight forward (excluding the advanced airway) that most anyone could pick up and use. Your mentioning of adrenaline rush and in aMCI Triage situation that card information may not be completed adds a sense of reality that is often left out. Looking forward to your future Triage (START, SALT, etc.) video when you get around to it. Thanks!
I wish I could get all that stuff here in Spain. Ever since I found myself in a situation to save a life using a first-aid kit (She lived, btw), I've always wanted to expand on what I have. Chest seals are practically impossible to get here; you need to import them at 4 times their price+customs and same thing with clotting and compressed Z-fold gauzes. Luckily I have my tourniquet, emergency bandage, and tons of rolled gauze and pads, which should be more than enough for most stuff. I'm wary about purchasing airways since I've never trained with them.
En tiendas de efectos militares (y cada vez más en distribuidores de material médico civiles) encontrarás todo lo relacionado con el tccc, busca por parche oclusivo torácico
I like your mindset, but do you know how many people would rely on that video and go out and buy these things, and then find an opportunity to use them, and because they aren’t properly or fully trained on these they will end up hurting the patient even worse! It’s better off that they learn basic first aid or go to school for these things and get certified. Good samaritans with no clue what they are actually doing are a major issue for EMS.
Stormy Effects I did not say that. Don’t twist my words. I literally said what I said for the good of the patient. Sometimes a clueless good samaritan can really help, sometimes it is a hindrance to the best possible care the patient can receive. As I said in my last comment, if you feel the need to help, learn basic first aid and stick with that, or go to an EMT school and learn more advanced interventions. Otherwise you are probably gonna hurt someone. It’s not tricky to just hold a dressing onto a wound, other than that, leave it to the pros and don’t do anything else.
So I already have some videos like that. Check out the playlist on my channel called medical care and first aid th-cam.com/play/PLEbg9C7jKDnLxjoACm3vDe0wWBDpwX5I_.html
Never heard of these, cool looking pieces, especially the triage one. The MIST-cards, at least the ones I have, don't have to be opened because they have a gap in the top part where you can get the card out. Also it does have a mark for casualties, you turn the purple corner of Red 1 visible from the inside. Another way to signal deceased is to make a cross on the Red 1. Both are not very visible so I do like the specific black cards. I might have older cards, though, so I'm not swearing anything!
Skinny Medic brought me here, he told me that you dont have a goat and I came over to check if that is true. Not sure if I missed it but I did not see a single goat in the video, which brings me to my question: What do you think who you are, if you dont even have a goat?!
I would just get the hybrid IFAK. Treating a snake bite basically means controlling bleeding, splinting, keeping heart rate down and getting the patient to a facility with anti-venom and sometimes treating an allergic reaction. There is no “sucking on the wounds” or anything super specific when it comes to a bite.
Is there any good free online medical training? Or any good any training at all? I know in person is best but with the way the world is right now I don't think they are running in person classes.
I know it's not free but look into taking an emt basic course from a local community College if possible. It would give you the best training and basic foundation for skills and assessment. It may take longer than a weekend and be more expensive than a cpr class, but its knowledge that'll will save lives and last a life time if you stay up to date
Gave you a shout out in my new video I did bro , keep up the great work sam & thanks for the great videos you do you showed me how tourniquet work and I carry one everyday now
Hey Sam look up "Bunker Branding" They partner with youtubers for shirts, stickers and other items. If you ever get stickers or patches I am game to buy.
Hey Sam, I love your video/content I'm currently trying to purchase some med mags but the discount code isn't working (PrepMedic20) No stress I bought it anyways just more of a FYI 🤪 Stay safe brother.
My only complaints are: Why is the packaging not in non-see through OD or Black? And why are these not vacuum sealed to cut down on the size? Otherwise, awesome!
Hi, I am part of a SAR organization and I was wondering if you would be willing to teach a virtual class for us on a Tuesday night sometime in the next two weeks. If you can reply with a good way to get in contact with you I would love to discuss it further.
Negative and negative. A medic is a paramedic which is an advanced life support provider that operates in the prehospital environment with relative autonomy.
No, medics are essentially there to keep your alive until you can get to a doctor. Their medical knowledge is just enough to do that. They can't fix you up but they can stabilise you until a doctor can fix you up.
@@nicksun424 You're wrong. Medics and nurses are totally different except they both work in medical field. Medics are there to keep you alive and stable until a doctor can take over, nurses are there to administer treatment by following the doctor's instructions. A medic can make treatment decisions by themselves while a nurse can't.
Statistically you will be hungry or run out of food during an emergency, spending your money on some paper towels in a plastic baggy is kinda a waste. 🤨
PrepMedic20 coupon code is live in the store for MedMags this weekend! 10% off
Im looking to get some but there is no discount code option at check out?
Order Placed! Maybe you should send PrepMedic the pill box (and the plus) to look at next. PLEASE!
These videos are seriously so encouraging for me to go though with my paramedic
They show me just how little i learned in my EMT-B classes.
=/
Super cool pouches. The Sam. Now I want on2 of each for my husband's and my packs. God bless you and yours from South Africa. .
Thanks for explaining the difference between the regular and advanced bleeding kit. The site lists the same description and contents for both, so I didn't know why one was more expensive.
No problem.
The advanced airway kit was exactly what i needed! a compact surgical airway kit
I especially like the organization. Makes it very easy for anyone to know what they’re grabbing. Good for lay people such as myself.
Been really excited for this since you've started posting them. Awesome vid!
The triage video would be much appreciated. Great video Sam!
Nice introduction to a pack size that can fit just about anywhere, thanks
The triage and advanced airway ones are sooo cool 😍
Thanks a lot for the video again, Sam!
Good products and good dudes. Got to train with them recently. Their products are a little pricey, but they’re smart dudes and have good gear.
Yeah they are pretty top notch. I disagree about the products though, if you bought the components in the advanced airway kit on their own you would be spending about $20 more

Yeah man, they are top notch and pretty well respected in the medical community.
@@PrepMedic I see. Impressive group.

Yeah, if they could shave an inch it would be great but even so they have some of the best form factors on the market.
Ordered 2 of the Hybrid. Thanks for the videos you put out.
Awesome! You will love them
this is actually great timing for me, im about to switch to molle chest rig and all my belt carried will have to go to the vest.

Wow!! I'm amazed by this idea, a quick way to grab everything you need! We need these in our jump bags!!
Hi thank u hope u r well
I would love a START triage video
To keep the glare off your packaging you could try bouncing the soft box off a white background
I've never heard of this stuff before and that's why I watch your videos thank you I'm buying one of each
One of my main goals on this channel is showing people different gear so they can get what will work the best for them.
I would love to see videos where you show us how to use everything in these kits.

The airway kit is the best deal in my opinion.
I have heard about these, thank's for the vid!
I wonder if there is liability if you dont have a certain size NPA and cut the one you have down to size... thoughts?

Looooove those med mags...
A triage vid would be great

Which would you recommend as a snake bite kit - being aussie that’s our major risk in the bush - this form factor fits a radio pouch for me. Cheers

Yes, you should be able to buy chest seals online.
Thanks I appreciate the quick answer: )) hope you and yours are safe and well.
