Your tutorials are incredible -the best I have ever watched. 've been embroidering for twelve years, and I have learned something new each time I watch. My husband bought me a (surprise) Quilt Club machine. Then now my Quatro needs replaced. I was wondering if I should get another combo machine, but from your video on the Stellar, I think I'm going to get the embroidery only machine. You helped me make that decision. Thanks

Hello Gary I loved your explanations. I had never understood anything about Design Center because the book only has 10 pages to explain and not a single concrete example. With you, things go by themselves, that's great. But I have 3 questions. When we crop the drawing in Design Center on the Stellaire can we give a dimension for example 4x4 to the drawing. I do not think so. It automatically makes a large design but the problem is that you can only enlarge or reduce it by 20% to embroider it? 2nd question: when you make the glass appliqué, can you make the first seam and redo a second one with satin stitch, like the real appliqué to hide the cutout? 3rd question: I also have a PR1055. My biggest frame is 8x15. I saw in a video that someone had the 14x14 but that it was necessary to have software to cut the design into 2 parts, to then be able to embroider it by turning the frame over. I don't have software so is it possible to buy a larger frame than the 8x13 in magnetic? Thank you for your answers. You are exceptional Gary. Hi Cathy, 1. Once you have designed your project in the My Design Centre you can within MDC resize to what ever hoop size you can use on the machine. The 20% rule only applies on actual embroidery designs that are ready to stitch out. 2. With the glass applique, the straight stitch is used as using a satin stitch could potentially cause the vinyl to be cut by the close stitching. 3. The largest magnetic hoop you can use with your machine is the 13" x 8".
I have created a couple items using the line format, I accomplished this thanks to your tutorial..but I could use some help using the "image" format. It just don't look right to me after it scans. (I have the Stellaire XE1). Would you be doing a tutorial on this?
Glad it was helpful! The Image format is a similiar process to the Line format, but it only has the ability to see up to 10 colours. You will need to adjust your image once it is digitised on the machine, the same way you would fix up the lines or add colour to the Line digitising. It can take a bit of practice :)
