I thought of a good challenge for some challenger players. Take two Iron players who are just about the same elo, and assign them to 1 challenger player each. The challenger then coaches their assigned iron player for 1 month. The player/coach that ends the month highest is the winner.
That depends more on the irons than the challengers, both irons can be shit but for way different reasons. So one may be uncoachable for example, and the other may have good disposition to learn and follow commands. Also maybe one has way less mechanical talent than the other, and that would dramatically change everything, whereas how good their macro was would be irrelevant as theyd be coached

Being good at a game has very little to do with how old you are. It is all about the kind of person you are. Just like some people are good at math and some suck at it. Different people, different talents. Also, Rat, don't be surprised people in iron are 21, or 26 or whatever tf. If anything that's more likely. You are less likely to get better at a game if you work and need to take care of an apartment, cook, clean, do laundry, go to the gym, see friends. Which is what most 20 something year olds are doing. It is infinately easier to get better at a game if you do nothing but go to school (that is IF you feel like going to school too) and just sit in your room all day long, doing nothing else but play video games. The sad sad truth is that the older you get, the more responsibilities you have, the less time you have to spend on things you once loved and still love, such as gaming. Adulthood takes sacrifices. And it fkin sucks.

I had no time to play for about 2 years, so I had to quit. I just came back about a month ago. And it's a whole new game. I have no idea what half the champions do or what half the items do. Therefore I have no idea what I have to be REALLY careful for. So many times I die with flash up just cuz I had no clue that skillshot would CC me or straight one shot me, to be fair. I went from High Plat - 2 years ago to Low Silver today. Right now I have about an hour or two a week in which I can afford to play, that's like 1 or 2 games. So it would take a looooong time to catch up. I will suck for a while, but it's just how people learn. You gotta make mistakes, right?

i used to BM low elos until i realised who they are irl. my college teacher is a casual gamer and she plays league for fun. only playing 2 or 3 matches a WEEK and doesnt care about getting out of bronze.

Usually iron players are casuals bro, they don't really give 2 fucks about video games they just play for the fun of it or when they're bored, most of them prob have a wife aswell. As a solid iron player, I can tell you why they are at that elo, poor understanding of the game and all mechanics as I never bother to get really into it, lol is the only game I've ever played of the genera.
Building is impossible as I have no idea what to build against champs.
I mean I guess it's okay if you are new player who just got into the game , but if you have years of experience ..... bro... sorry to break it to you but you have some kind of learning disability. 12yo kids manage to reach silver/gold , think about that. most of these iron people have 30, 50. 100 plus games... That is the issue, they can spend 100 hours on the game, and still play like 1 hour....

That's a a dumb question if you're asking it's you seeing them stuck in this elo like they never give the game this kind of importance I know someone who has been playing the game for 5 years and never played ranked before he only play as a real (fun game) and when he finally tried the rank he was still irons
ngl, bronze in league is like diamond in most other games, this game is old and doesn't get a lot of new players. i'm top 5% in almost every game, and only bronze-gold in league and find it VERY hard to be good with any champ that isn't a stat checker. if i would tryhard stat checkers/tanks i would probably be able to climb higher, but with fighters like riven, no fucking chance.
i have without exaggeration 10 times the play time on riven than on any other champ, and i'm still WAY better on any champ that is easy to play, like mundo, nasus, rammus and so on.
the game is just not balanced at all for low rank players.
and the funny thing is, people say my strenght is my mechanical skill, but that's where i lose against bronze, while i have way better game sense than most bronze-gold players imo. so i don't understand league of legends. it's the weirdest competitive game i've ever played.

When I first started league i was 16 , got bronze-silver
around 17-18 I was silver
Then 19-26 I was stuck in gold
( not to mention I took very long breaks from league in my 20s because of work and also a lot of trolls and toxic players ruined my experience)
Then present day I’m 27. I find a duo partner and we spam rank and I make it all the way to emerald now
My advice is just don’t play solo. If you do and must play solo TURN OFF CHAT. There is no reason for you to be typing all game. Or reading other peoples bitching in chat. It’s best to mute all and not tilt yourself.

For people who are interested in League of Legends but has completely no experience with MOBA, I suggest you start with Wild Rift, the LoL mobile version.
Its available almost worldwide, has shorter match, has pretty much the same mechanic, and the learning curve isnt as steep as in the LoL PC. Maybe after getting some basic understanding about how things work you can switch to the PC version which is more unforgiving.
It takes too much time to learn basic stuff when you're starting with the LoL PC.

It’s not unbelievable that some people are stuck iron, I was placed in iron 1 and sometimes you can play amazing but your team who are legit iron make it impossible to climb, I had to duo to win the 3 games to get to bronze. The gap between bronze and iron is insane
