I had my issues with Spoon but nothing that was fire-able after one rookie season . Insane. You don't treat a hall of famer that way . How can an organization ask for patience and for their fanbase to trust the process when they were impatient and distrustful in their leadership ?
Good luck trying to lure any worthwhile free agents to come to not only a franchise that has 3rd rate practice and training facilities, and once again a coaching reset, 2nd year players who are potentially looking to leave themselves and looming pay jump in 2026 for players who are free agents . The Sky can't expect to even pretend to have a stable roster until the dust settles in 2026 , and stable still wont ensure contending.

@@ilykepink creating chemistry with a team playing together. The teams that are winning have been playing together for 2-3 years. The teams that struggling are still trying to build chemistry. If your eyes are on shiny every year there will be no growth or consistency.

They threw Coach Spoon under the bus.
This dude is a snake! He didn't care about TSpoon or the bond she was building with her players and he doesn't really care about the players either. He won't bring Chennedy back even though she deserves to come back (hell, she damn near carried the team on her back this entire season) and I can see him trading Angel and Kamilla in the near future too. He doesn't care about the players.
Maybe Jeff wanna bring in his own style of coach. Spoon wasn’t Jeff hired…Jeff became Gm after Spoon took the job

No one on that team deserved the Vitriol they got. The Coach Survived that and PROGRESSED ANYWAY. I Pray for success to All the young Ladies on this year's team.

So basically you lied throughout this interview Jeff. “You’d rate the team successful this year. The team fought all season. Rookies Improving skills throughout the season. Big jumps, maturity, pace.“
And then you follow the coach. You have a year under your belt now but you don’t extend that to your head coach. You are a liar Jeff. Mike A you need to sell of your ownership to people who understand women’s basketball. Refund me my season ticket Monday.
I'm sorry but i agree with the firing...Have several reasons but the main one is she lost control of her locker room...after that fiasco where there was all that racket going on...she left the after game interview and STILL couldn't settle them down...thats a loss of respect...theres no way they could have respect for her...any team starts with the Coach ..then the players..js

You have seen nothing of that locker room!! You and everyone else can only assume what was going on. Were those walls paper thin? Why have post game questioning near the locker room anyway? But of course, there was frustration. There isn't much you can do about that. Officiating was trash towards Chicago, and they still hit enough shots to win games. Other times the shots didn't fall and they lost those games. So, yes frustration is warranted. In no way was this roster constructed to make the playoffs. Let's be totally real. However, they had the right coach with the team at the time and things were looking great until the injuries hit. Fortunately, the Mabrey trade didn't hurt as most people thought. Management hurt this team more than anything. Dana hurt this team. She played some uninspired ball when she learned nobody wanted her. If anything, this team overacheived & Management decided they should tank. Spoon was terminated on the 20th prior to the exit interview. Listen at her voice and look at her demeanor. That was nasty some work.

Sky fans were glad the Fever lost last night. With the Sky coach's firing, Fever fans are glad at the complete destruction of the Sky team. Please keep the toxic implosion going Sky team.
