    The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. Ezekiel 18:20 the Bible is very clear

    • @kingcalv10
      @kingcalv10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Wasn't this to do with actual earthly judgement. The focus was judicial punishment for crimes, look at how it's applied in the time of the kings.
      2 kings 14:5 -6. (Read about Amaziah)
      5 Now it happened, as soon as the kingdom was established in his hand, that he executed his servants who had murdered his father the king. 6 But the children of the murderers he did not execute, according to what is written in the Book of the Law of Moses, in which the Lord commanded, saying, “Fathers shall not be put to death for their children, nor shall children be put to death for their fathers; but a person shall be put to death for his own sin.”

    • @jamesfranko6985
      @jamesfranko6985 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ I don’t disagree with you on the reference to earthly judgement. That is correct. Our judgment is according to our faith individually but God gives us a glimpse of the consequences that could occur from the Father’s sins.
      You shall not bow down to (idols) or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.” (Deuteronomy 5:9-10, NIV) ...
      So God said he would punish the children of the third and fourth generation
      for the Father’s sin. He would not punish them if they did not perform their Father’s sin.
      The context of Ezekiel is important to show that so called generational curses do not exist; why? Because although for about 30 verses it is going on about this principle of judgement on sin, and this judgment shows that it doesn’t exist.
      If there is such a thing as a generational curse it means that some of us are paying for sins, or will pay for sins our Fathers committed.
      The context of Ezekiel 18 verse 2 is
      The writer of Ezekiel says that this Proverb will never again be used in Israel--The Father’s have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge “.
      After that Ezekiel prophesied and let everyone know that the soul that sins will be punished individually and not because of their Father’s.
      Sidenote: The context is God establishing judgement for individual sin, but by default these passages allow us to see that a generational curse can not be because the idea of sin following innocent people is prohibited by God.
      Read Ezekiel 18:1-20.
      God Bless You!

    • @editoaril6384
      @editoaril6384 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you are save by believing the Gospel (1Cor 15:1-4) the only judgment awaits you is the bema judgement which does not account for your sins but your REWARDS according to your work 2Cor 5:10. If your salvation is wrong and not according to the Gospel, read Rom 2:16; 2 Thess 1:8. Many preachers believed they are saved but does not even know where, in the Bible is the gospel for this present church age. Many will fall victim of false salvation, Matthew 7:21-23,

      Same thing sis.. lol it’s a pattern of bad generational cycles which is a curse lol bad lingering results of sinful behaviors is all we talking bout when it comes to a curse. Confronting sin is what stops the cycles tho! Not chasing after the curse itself or the knowledge of demons. It’s just understanding. People are confused because the Pentecostals and charismatics make spiritual warfare retarded and take things out of context. If there are bad lingering results from sinful behaviors that are being repeated than that in itself is a generational curse. Doing wrong things can bring a curse upon your life. It’s 100 percent scriptural but Godbless. Pray for understanding

      John 1:29 Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world
      John 11:25-26: "Jesus told her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die

    Personally, I feel if you give yourself to the same ungodly sin your parents have battled with, you will fight the same demon your parents lost... that's it! I was also born as you were and did not struggle UNTIL I PURPOSELY SINNED OVER AND OVER.

      The things you mentioned could be…. Our fault (shocking)
      We could have terrible examples of marriage in our lives, we could eat awful and not care for our temples, we could have smoked, we could never be taught how to parent properly, we could have made a bad choice in spouse. Or maybe they are just a consequence of life on earth.. people get sick, we get diseases, we have spouses that decide to leave or children that rebel. But the fact remains; When will people step up and be responsible for themselves? Look soberly at their lives and evaluate choices, decisions, consequences and outcomes and if necessary change course?
      And what does that mean “has a legal right to be there”? What in the world does that mean? Why do we say things like that?

      @926paaja I would suggest you study the spiritual world more. Proverbs 26:2 says a curse cannot come upon you without cause. Curses just can't jump on you without a legal right to do so. If that was so there would be no order. Yes, we all have free will to choose but spirits' job is to influence, coherce, and persuade so it's not a coincidence that that certain spirits are able curse multiple generations. If you don't understand that EVERYTHING is spiritual then you will never understand.

      It's your words today are off is off is improper grammar. And I don’t think you are using the word condescending quite accurately. Condescension, which pretty much overlaps with arrogance, means to think too much of yourself, while arrogance means to overvalue your importance, and pride is the excessive love and consideration and endearment for oneself.
      Stupid means a lack of intelligence. It’s not inherently mean to call someone that; it depends on the person, the circumstance, how you say it, and your overarching motivation on why you called someone things like that.
      Solomon, Paul, Jesus, and the Father used that kind of language, both towards people's character and intelligence and lack of wisdom.
      So we can firmly solidify that such blunt, straightlaced, straightforward language that insults someone’s character or intelligence isn't inherently wrong or sinful. Again, it depends on the person, depends on the circumstance, depends on how, and depends on why. This is very much abuse, and there is a lot of nuance.

      @@IAmR1ch I think you’re missing context for the Exodus passage. This is referring to worshipping other gods. Look no further than the book of Judges or the Babylonian captivity.
      John 8:34-36 talks about how the Son sets us free from sin, and the book of Romans is a breakdown of what the gospel is.
      My biggest concern is why if someone is in Christ would still be under a curse? If we are cursed because of sin, but the blood of Christ cleanses us of all sin then the blood isn’t sufficient for salvation if generational curses persist after one becomes saved.

Why does this still happen. Personally, and I have no proof of this or scriptural basis, only a theory. Sin and or the consequences of sin is passed on genetically, and the scripture was simply describing the results of genetics which those people could not understand.
