Excellent tier rankings, my dude. Fun trivia: Limgrave's name isn't just about limbs! It's also based from the word "liminal" which means "at the beginning" or "the threshold of an entrance." It's the starting area of your journey, and also where you will die, again and again. That's canon, it's in the lore.

"Limn" can also mean "suffused or ringed in light" which I think fits too - limgrave is definitely a graveyard suffused with light

I gotta say my divorce really reminded me of Limgrave. With my life initially being trapped underground at the hands of my wife, and then all the possibilities of the world opening up to me once I opened the doors of the divorce attorney's office. Varre is especially reminiscent of the attitudes that society holds over divorcees. While the tree sentinel hits like you hard and persistently like alimony. But also like alimony can be totally avoided. Truly one of the locations of all time.

Limgrave is actually perfect. Your parents try to hide it from you so you're in this council room with like 12 other kids getting rice Krispy treats and feeling pretty good...
Then varre walks in and goes "unfortunately for you, you are fatherless" and you realize why no one's parents are in the room with you

This is pretty accurate as someone who has actually gone through a divorce as an adult. Luckily alimony was not a thing since there weren’t kids involved, but it does start off feeling like you’re underground and then you move forward and the world suddenly opens up again.

It seemed ironic in the video, but I unironically think Subterranean Shunning Grounds is S-tier, or at least A. It's claustrophobic, creepy, and gross, but that's exactly what a sewer level should be. The thing that makes it so great is how every path somehow wraps back around to the first site of grace, and you keep unlocking new shortcuts as you progress, making what seems like a massive and daunting area at first actually very well-connected and navigable. It's really excellent level design.

Fun fact : deep roots depth is actually the third city (Nosktella & Nokron), it has been destroyed by Astel and there’s some deep lore behind it explaining why there’s no « night sky » cuz this cosmic flying shitworm took it

I like how the list was essentially meaningless and it's just him kinda explaining the game, even though much of it is wrong. He carried a dog a turtle and our horse a dog.

My divorce felt like lake of rot at first then it started feeling like Calid. After a while it started to feel like limgrave.
I literally had to go ng+ for that legendary item in leyndell, im glad my pain is understood
NG+ twice to get the endings one at a time while I was having a glance at locations I was more unfamiliar with for secrets.
7 months later, I'm doing it again on the PS4 version just to platinum it twice, a full playthrough.
My biggest complaint is that the game isn't long enough to last until the next FromSoft release.
One of the DLCs will have a Travis Scott boss fight where you have to fight through a crowd that's trying to trample you. Scott does the robot

You forgot one thing about Deeproot Depths. You know how you were talking about the Eternal City that’s the whole happy meal for boys and girls and all? Deeproot depths might not be a happy place… but it’s the Nameless Eternal City.
The miyazaki meal will be made of rock hard bread and everytime you bite it your teeth fall out so that when you’re done miyazaki will say “it feels good when you overcome this hardship”

Also, Nokron is set in a much, much more spacious cavern and on a cliff within that cavern. Nokstella is very cramped in comparison, probably in part because it’s not as deep underground as Nokron.

When I got Elden ring when it came out, I was confused about the lift of rold and how half the key to access the lift was past the lift, until I got deeper, both literally and figuratively, into the game and found everywhere is fairly easy to access when you get closer. The game can still be confusing for sure though
