- The German firefighters who helped Sweden with the great and violent forest fires in Dalarna and Jämtland return home to Germany. Here they pass the city of Guldsmedshyttan, north of Lindesberg.

It's german, you can read "Feuerwehr" on these Trucks
It's terribly Poland and Germany have fire brigades, but they were Poles, not Germans, just look at the registrations

Ein dankeschön bezahlt aber genauso wenig Rechnungen wie das tolle applaudieren für die ganzen Pflegekräfte zu beginn der Coronakrise.
Versteh mich nicht falsch man ist viel glücklicher wenn einem seine Arbeit gedankt wird aber das ändert nichts an dem unterirdischen Gehalt für Einsatzkräfte aller Art...
ich sage nur #BerlinBrennt als krasses Beispiel. Leider spricht da heute keiner mehr drüber.

@@lukasflomann3945 Naja aber gewisse Berufe sind einfach Systemrelevant bzw gehören zu den kritischen Infrastrukturen. Auf eine Shishabar, die Dorfkneipe oder einen Tattoostudio kann man verzichten (Auch wenn da natürlich die Existenz der Leute dran hängt aber auch nur deren Existenz). Versuch doch mal den Rettungsdienst stillzulegen für einen einzigen Tag... Du glaubst gar nicht viele tausende Tote es an nur 1 Tag geben würde. Ebenso Unterschied freiwilliger und Berufsfeuerwehr. Würden alle freiw. feuerwehren nur 1 Tag komplett Streiken würden wir komplett untergehen weil die ganzen BF´s das niemals packen würden. Stell dir vor 1 Tag lang kommt kein Pfleger, Arzt oder sonst wer zur Arbeit ins Krankenhaus. Wie viele Leute würden dort sterben?! Jeder Job ist wichtig auf seine Art und Weise aber es gibt einfach Berufe auf die niemand verzichten kann weil jede Gesellschaftsschicht darauf angewiesen ist. Genau das sind zum Großteil die sozialen Berufe. Der stink reiche Bankenmanager würde einen normalen Bürger auf der Straße nicht mal mit dem Arsch angucken aber trotzdem kann er nen schweren Autounfall in seinem 200.000€ Benz haben und benötigt dann plötzlich die Hilfe der Menschen welche einen 200.000€ Benz nur im Beruf fahren können. Auch bezeichnet als Rettungswagen.
Ich denke du verstehst was ich damit sagen möchte? Ich will keinen Beruf runter machen auch der Müllmann ist extrem wichtig für unser System aber der kriegt wenigstens genug Geld für seinen Job (Kein Scheiß da verdient man teilweise das doppelte von dem was man im Rettungsdienst oder sonstigen sozialen Berufen kriegt).
@@Schwummiwumi Ja ich weiß was du sagen möchtest und bin da voll und ganz deiner Meinung da ich unter anderem auch mal in der Feuerwehr war. Aber ich bin quch der Meinung das zum Beispiel Lkw fahrer auch mit die jenigen sind die grade auch im Moment alles am laufen halten

Its nice to see this is germany, as an american after 9/11 alot of the towns and departments that sent firefighters to help came home like this and got the heros welcome, same with departments returning from helping with the California wildfires. This also reminds me of when my dad got invited to train with germam firefighters at training base weze

This is in Sweden. The Germans came over to help and this is them departing bck to Germany after a job well done.

@@raistraw8629 I´m from Potsdam, a smaller town near Berlin. I can agree that there are different kinds of people and it is definitely not meant to generalize. But it happens from time to time, that you help someone almost without them noticing. And these events stand out especially. I can also agree that this attitude can be very different from area to area if you compare a village with a town.
@@raistraw8629 There is a German idiom "Not complained is a sufficient compliment" and it exists for a reason. There is no thanking culture in Germany in business, meaning you are not thanked for doing your job. And this is what the thread opener was talking about. It's not about the polite thank you that you say when you receive something.

It´s very nice to see how much respect we firefighters get in other countries. Here in Germany you are hindered, insulted or even attacked every day in your work. the people here are very ungrateful and it has been getting worse and worse for years. thank you for appreciating our work.

@@EnjoyFirefighting You can be sure that he is in the FFW (Freiwillige Feuerwehr / Volunteer Fire Brigade) and not in the Profesional Fire Brigade. Therefore he doesnt know nothing about the "real" job and especially how the officials are treated. You see alot of ill will gossip in these comments and thats also exactly what his comment was. Passive aggression against our situation in germany, nothing more.
(not saying that the FFW doesnt do a good job, but since "everybody" can be in the FFW you also have some people in it that value political views higher than comradeship and service)

Can anyone answer, what is in the trailers being pulled? Are they water tenders or maybe fire suppressant foam units?
Depends on the trailer.
Additional equipment, could be a "TSA" (Tragkraftspritzenanhänger) as we call it in Germany, in there, there is a portable water pump (so 4 persons can carry it, and it can be placed where ever you want because maybe you want a pump for long ways), some additional fire hoses and some more. It's a small fire truck, but in a trailer so to say. But i don" think it's a water tender because the trailers are too small for this.
TSA in english means (Trailer containing a Portible Firepump and it's normed in german laws what the trailer needs to contain, some fire Departments in Germany even only have such a trailer (mainly small villages) where the firemen use their private tractor to pull it to, where they want it to be.
(Little fun fact a pump in a TSA needs to deliver 1000liter per minute with 10 bar pressure, and therefore its called PFPN (Portable Firepump Normal Pressure) 10-1000) If you don't know what this is, just google for a "Rosenbauer FOX".
