I love how Eddy articulate his words, very nicely. He can be a great teacher. Meanwhile me, I’m more like Brett, as I don’t know how to explain well 😅😂
Regarding the question about the role of violins in the orchestra, Brett and Eddy just look like two dads trying to convince kids that the violin is the best instrument so that the kids will choose to learn violin.
Which is kinda sad, because it's one of the hardest to learn and you won't stand out if you play it, you'll be one of like 20 people in your orchestra who also play it.
Because of TwoSet, I have renewed interest in the violin again. I played both violin and cello a while back; then family life happened and I had to put my playing aside. My husband saw how I had missed playing and gifted me with a violin for Christmas. I am quite content now; and will soon be receiving a cello within the next few months. Thank you so very much TwoSet, your videos have ignited a spark within me that sat dormant for too long. 🥰❤🥰❤
@@wakingtheworld my oldest takes after me, he plays guitar, bass, drums and piano. I'm so happy to hear from others that have also been inspired by them; they are angels in disguise. 🥰🥰
Brett and Eddy are always so humble about their skills. But actually, they have something that makes their duets just pure magic and that’s the special connection only best friends playing together since childhood can develop. Watching them perform is like watching Happiness personified. 🥰🎶
I would give anything for more of such videos of tsv teaching. Also, not Brett totally flexing, perfect pizz boy. Love how in depth Eddy explained. and the happy birthday was honey to my ears
Eddy used to have a channel called Eddy chen with loads of teaching videos. Look it up, the videos are still online. I particularly recommend the video on vibrato if you struggle with it beacuse it helped me a lot
@@jankisi Yes! I have the videos saved in my drive, just in case. Also, lucky me I dont learn violin cuz I'm piano gang hehe :D Poor violin gang keep grinding and practicing 40 hours a day
@@samriddhiupadhyay0724It wasn't a vlog channel but a podcast where he interviewed other musicians. Very interesting, I recommend checking it out. :-)
What's funny is in one of their videos Violin Olympics, Brett held a note with ONE bow stroke for 48 SECONDS!!! It's at the beginning of the video, so very easy to find.
I've been a Two Set fan from the beginning and I was thinking about why I find these cute guys so enjoyable to watch. Besides their clever and humorous take on classical music, I think their combination of contrasts make them interesting. For example, they are Asians but they have strong Australian accents; Brett is smaller in stature but has a deeper bass voice, while Eddy is taller with a tenor-sounding voice; they act goofy but are talented musicians and deeply respectful of each other; and last but not least, they make fun of themselves in comparison to major stars like Hilary Hahn and Ray Chen but include these stars in their pranks. I never get bored watching and listening to them.
no but why this is like a missing episode in any series? Like this is the content we have been missing for a long time. It's okay if they don't upload as usual tho. I missed their smiles. Felt like a twoset episode 😭 thanks esplanade. Also the *acoustics* 👌
Happy Birthday, Esplanade! (Two months late) Thank you for lending the hall to Twosetviolin. We hope there will be many opportunities for cooperation between the two parties in the future.
Brett & Eddy are an absolute delight and joy to listen to and learn from. Thank you to all who run this channel. Your fine work in this interview is greatly appreciated. Please stay healthy and take care.
The Director tries to get more answers to the question, meanwhile, Eddy tries his best not to be too nerdy and boring explaining those textbook explanations. But it does both well, especially Brett’s demonstration…rizz!
I guess we can see why parents like Eddy a lot in terms of violin teaching, he sounds gentle and patient, and he explains things clearly and concisely. Brett, on the other hand, I'm not saying that he is bad at teaching, but I can imagine him being like, hey it's time to create some magic let's go!!! lol Too bad I don't have a kid to show this video to, so I'll just appreciate it myself lol
There has been a lot of talk about the Gucci belt, since he wear it in so many episodes for years i guess it's has to be a sentimental gift from family member. Can our culture if we receive a gift we have to put it in use and treasure it to make it looks brand new.
This was an awesome video! 👏🏻 I love that they were a little more professional, or just in a different setting but we’re still numerous and themselves 😊 really enjoyed watching it
Violin Lesson 101 Thank you! Great content! And Happy Birthday Esplanade! Hehe 🎂 😉 Btw, their longest note before in one of their episodes is around 48 or 45 seconds which is almost close to a minute
Eddy: going super in depth what sheet music is.
Brett: If it's six lines it's fake, don't read it.
Also Eddy: Violin is the best. Next question:D
I love his sense of humour🤣
Hahaha 🤣 ya that had me dying

eddy will bore the hell out of the 5 years old
Brett flexing his Paganini 24 left-hand pizz so casually 😂

SO impressive!
2:53 that ringing of the violin was so satisfying!!
And the happy little faces they make when they hear the acoustics.
