I fully agree that the Sky Lounge version is essential to acquire more inside living space. Compared to the Nordhavn 68 and the Fleming 65 this Grand Banks 60 seems comparably priced and outfitted. All three of those choices are stunning options. I would think that the buyer for this level of boat is going to choose the boat that best meets their interests and their intended use and price would be a non issue once customizations were discussed and factored into the final cost. Operating costs for these three yachts is a huge variable. Fuel costs, mooring costs, haul out costs, insurance premiums, and service costs would be significant. Depending on use, the annual operating costs could easily exceed $100K and that's assuming no major issues. That estimate could be low. I'd plan on a $200K annual operating cost, and I'd have an escrow account already established that had at a minimum 5-year balance of $1 million to make this type of purchase. With good luck and decent interest returns, that account could stay ahead of all concerns and allow maximum peace of mind and user enjoyment.

Love that Sky Lounge Nick. As much as cruising on a yacht like that conjures up thoughts of sun and swimming, something different draws me to that Sky Lounge. I could imagine being moored up in a quiet bay on a cool, cloudy day. Sipping on some of God's nectar while watching the mist roll in from the warm comfort of that Sky Lounge. Am I crazy ??? 🤔

In the 1970's and 80's serious coastal cruising offered only one safe choice - Grand Banks. And they kept it going for quite some time, hand building each boat as an all wood structure. Enter the Asian builders with their fiberglass - which back then was not a very good choice for boat building. Materials improved, prices dropped and well, the World moved on. But never count quality as out of the game. Look at the serious off shore vessel this presents. Grand Banks - welcome back. And Nick, thanks for sharing...

It’s no Nordhavn, but I like that. Cabins could be a bit larger, owners cabin seems to be on the small side. If they pushed back the bulk head of upstairs and removed the lower driving position I think it’d be a tidy yacht with the space it has
