I fish in a 10' Pelican predator. It's been windy where I am for over a week and I had to get a larger anchor to stay in place. Still caught a lot of fish though.
Thanks for the boat tour. I just bought a used 2012 Tracker Guide V16 Laker Standard. Previous owner had setup for electric only, so now I'm looking to add a proper 4-stroke. Glad to hear you advocate for and describe results of the 40HP, which is apparently max hp for this boat. I'd like to see how you use your Minn Kota bow trolling unit (Terrova?), get unit in/out of water, use iPilot, etc.
I've been looking at one of these to replace my older fiberglass bass boat. It's all anyone really needs especially if you fish smaller lakes. Light to tow and economical to run and buy in todays market even with the 40hp. Plus they can take some good chop too if you happen to get stuck in it safely.
I have thesame boat but a 2013 love it What size fuel tank are you using I have a 6 gal tank and don't have enough room to put my battery along side it as yours is that would give me a ton more floor space if I could move it.
Hey Brother, I have a 6 gal. They did build my model with plenty of room for 2 batteries. Have you tried pitting an extra battery in one of the front storage compartments and run a wire?

Thrust is 55. The batteries go in the back with the gas tank, there should be enough room. I have two batteries one the main engine keeps it charged and the other for the trolling motor I charge when I get home.

I would get on them quick! Tracker is discontinuing the Laker DLX for 2021. I had to scour pretty hard to find one with the motor I wanted (25 hp) this month

Balance is good. I fished with a buddy of mine who is my size, we did fine. I will only fish with two in the boat due to the room. Handles choppy water well. I picked this boat based on the lakes I fish the most. Hope this helps.

Thank you, it's better with the 40hp. Terrova i pilot is a game changer. I will work on a video for the Terrova.

Your boat looks full carpet. Did you have to special order it that way.
some carpet on the inner sides, but most is marine vinyl. Most boats are getting away from full carpet to vinyl. I like it better.

12v or 24v troller? Where did you get the longer seat pillar?
12v. The seat pillar I ordered through Galey's marine in Bakersfield. Not sure of the brand. I have seen some at Bass pro shop
