みんな！ ！ ！ ということで、アコースティックサーフライブビデオ第二弾が登場です！ ほんの冗談です。 このビデオの 3 番目の曲ではアコースティック ギターを使用せず、代わりにカジノ ギターを使用しています。 父は、私がギターのチューニングにかかる時間を最小限に抑える安全な方法だと考えたのです。 あと、3曲目はカジノギターで少し弾きやすかったです。 皆さん、これは私がファドナイトコンサートショーのオープニングゲストであるビデオです。 世界クラスのファドミュージシャンや歌手のゲストとして迎えられたことに加えて、ペドロ王子5世として知られる1860年に建てられたこの劇場でサーフチューンを演奏する機会に恵まれたことを光栄に思いました。 たくさんの観光客が来てくれてとても嬉しかったです。 彼らの多くはこのジャンルの音楽に初めて触れたので、私たちは彼らにサーフ ミュージックを紹介することができました。
Everyone!!! So here comes acoustic surf live! vol. number 2. I am just kidding. The 3rd song in this video, I didn't use my acoustic guitar and instead, I was using my casino guitar. My dad thought that way I could safe time tuning the guitar. Besides, it was a bit easier to play the 3rd song with my Casino guitar. So this footage comes from Mina being the Fado Night concert show opening guest. Besides feeling extremely honored to play as a guest for world class Fado musicians and singers, and having the chance to play surf tunes in this theatre called "Dom Pedro V", which was built in 1860, we were thrilled as many tourists came and we were able to introduce surf music to them, as many of them are new to this genre of music.
前にも言ったように、サーフ・ミュージックが初めて世界に登場したとき、我が国ではサーフ・ミュージックは普及しませんでした。 私たちはマカオでそれを手に入れましたが、ほとんどの人はそれを忘れています。 私たちの目標は、私たちの街の人々の間でサーフ ミュージックへの情熱を復活させ、おそらく中国本土の人々にサーフ ミュージックを紹介するために最善を尽くすことです。 知る人は少ないと言えるでしょう。 私のバンド「The Cotton Kids」は、3月29日金曜日に珠海のプールバーで演奏します。 お近くの方はぜひ応援に来てください！ ！ ！ 詳細は近日発表予定です！
Like we have told you before, surf music was not in our country when it first appeared. We DID get it in Macau but most people have forgotten about it. Our goal is to try hard to revive people's passion on surf music in our city, and perhaps introduce it to people in mainland China. I'd say extremely few people are familiar with it. Mina's band "The Cotton Kids" will be playing in Zhuhai on March 29 (Friday) in Pool Bar. Come give us some support if you are in the neighborhood!!! More information will be announced soon!

こんばんは！温かいお言葉をいただき大変嬉しく思います。学ぶべきことはまだたくさんあります。私は普段エレキギターを使って音楽を演奏しています。最近アコースティックギターを始めたんですが、楽しいです。それは贈り物でした！私は本当に幸運ですよね？

実はこのビデオの最初の曲は、私がこれまで演奏した曲（約200曲）の中で最も難しい曲です。 「オリーブの首飾り」以降はどの曲も歌いやすくなっている気がします。ということで、私にとってはとても良い研修でした。

Thank you Sir! They wanted soft music, so I thought using an acoustic guitar could make it sound not as loud but still, I could play surf tunes. It was a bit difficult to play a certain songs with the acoustic guitar with lots of bending, so my dad thought perhaps we should bring the casino as a spare. We always bring a spare guitar anyway. ;-)

ありがとう！このギグは、彼女が観客と交流することは想定されておらず、メインショーの前に行われるパフォーマンスに集中しなければならなかったので、少し特別でした。いつもはたくさん話したり、ちょっとしたやりとりをしたり、観客を笑わせたりするんですが、今回は違いました。

Whenever I watched your performances, I couldn't help saying to myself that I had got to be witnessing a miracle, as there wasn't a logical explanation as to how you could learn, memorize and play beautifully so many of these pieces in the electric guitar repertoire of the 60's - especially with such competence and precision at your young age!!! You have such a flair for performing in public, not to mention that you possess the natural feelings for playing this kind of music. I used to play many of your pieces when I was a teenager in the mid 60's. Admittedly, I played rather badly comparing to the standard you have now reached. There aren't any youngsters in Hong Kong that I know today who might have taken an interest in this genre of music. The scene in Japan is completely different, and I think I don't need to tell you about that. Incidentally, my favourite pieces to play way back in the old days were the Shadows' Apache and Wonderful Land. Bye for now....
As her dad, I have been amazed how good and how much children can remember! It is really quite a lot of songs to remember. I myself also don't know how she does it. I guess little children just can remember a lot of more. And you are right, no one young plays surf in HK and Macau, and China as well. The Shadow and The Ventures used to be big here, but I am talking over half a century ago. Still, people don't play their songs, but many still remember the tunes. We hope very much to re-introduce it to people around us so more can have fun and enjoy listening to it! ;-)
@@PangPangguitarjam Children are amazing, but not everyone is. We are not born equal, as far as artistic talent goes. I am with you entirely. In fact, we do have musical kids in the family. They are far better at the kind of stuff I have been struggling with all my life and not getting there. I understand exactly how you feel about Mina. Incidentally, I have written down the melody, bass and chords of the Shadows' Apache and Wonderful Land, among others. I was just hoping someday, someone may like to play them. I can send you the scores, if you would like to have a look at them.
@@Hiroshima49 It's very kind of you! Of course it'd be great to get them from you, as I know you probably treasure them and have put in effort in producing them. But one thing I didn't tell you. We don't look at music scores much...almost never. 😂I don't know if it's good or bad. I personally have not looked at it for decades...for Mina, she knows how, but mostly we use our ears. She looks at tabs sometimes, but mostly she tries to figure out how to play the songs by ears. It was one of the first things I taught her when she was small. Of course, with help of the Internet and videos and all, it was much easier than long time ago.
@@PangPangguitarjam Yes, in those days everybody started playing by ear and copying from the gramophone records. That's exactly how I began, as I couldn't read music at that time. I only tried to write down the notes, chord symbols and the bassline about 12 years ago. The process was painstaking and time-consuming. For example, I was rather impressed by how the bass was played in the Shadows' Apache. If I remember correctly, when the theme comes in with the Am chord sounded, the root and 5th of Am are played, but after that, for the D major chord, the bass leaps from D to B, Bb and back to A forming a nice chromatic line. I thought, that's interesting to write it down so that I won't forget. In the late 60's, no one could visualize the kind of convenience we are having today, the availability of backing tracks and tabs, all done for you. What I did has become unnecessary and superfluous.

去年大阪で買ったスニーカー。セール中だったので免税で購入できました。とてもお得です！テクニックというのは「チキンピッキングギターテクニック」のことですよね？私も昔は名前を知りませんでした。あはは…アメリカ南部のカントリーミュージックが起源だと思います。 12弦ギターはポルトガルギターと呼ばれています。私はそれを手に入れようとしています。いつ届くか分かりません。なかなか面白いですね！

こちらはノーキーの超絶テクニック。ワンダフォー。
ありがとう。私がノーキーのようにギターを弾こうとしているのを見てもらえると嬉しいです。この曲をアコースティックギターで演奏するのはそれほど簡単ではないと言わざるを得ません。私はただ彼のギターの弾き方を真似しようとしていただけだ。とてもインスピレーションを与えてくれるし、勉強にもなるし、「El Bimbo」を試してみたら、どの曲も簡単に思えた。

ご心配いただきありがとうございます。彼は元気です。実は昨夜一緒にライブをしました。このファドのコンサートに必要なギタリストは一人だけでした。彼も同行しましたが、主催者や他の主要なファドミュージシャンとの交流など、他のことを手伝ってくれました
