It is really nice to find a good Christian family on you tube. I honestly didn't know that Mennonites believed in salvation through grace...I thought they were all salvation by works. We are Christians as well, so I'm sure I will enjoy following you here on YT. Thanks for sharing your faith in this video. I enjoy all types of videos, so whatever you enjoy doing, I will enjoy watching. Thank you!
Yes, I kind of thought they were a little more works based and did not believe in being born again. I am happy💓 to know this because my daughter-in-law was raised Mennonite. She is quiet about her faith.
Beautiful, blessed couple ❤ Don't underestimate your "stay-at-home mom" position 😊 You have the most important job in the world - raising little humans and taking care of the house 🏠
Anna Ovchinnikov - I was looking through the comments hoping someone picked up on that and encouraged her to not sell herself short. I’m also a stay at home mom of an 18 month old girl (with I pray many more to come). People don’t seem to understand it is a lot of work. I get the “you’re so lucky you get to just stay home” comment a ton. I am so blessed to be able to raise Grace myself, but my husband and I both worked very hard to get to that point and saved and budgeted. Plus, we purchased a two family home. I manage the property and with the incoming rent we only have to pay peanuts towards the mortgage.
Being a stay at home Mom is a choice for a woman. It’s a selfless and humbling choice. Your children come first, you are raising them and there is absolutely nothing to be ashamed about. Like most things in life, people that are jealous are usually people that will be critical, rude and mean spirited. If you choose to have children, raising your own children is and should be your focus. Who you bring into their lives shapes and polishes them. I’ve watched this in my own life and if you’re not the person doing the shaping, you can see many qualities that you didn’t teach. That can be devastating.
@@soniasteckle5548 My understanding that, in the Christian faith, God, spouse, then children are the order. Not children first, but there''s nothing wrong with being a sahm.
It's the biggest goal actually. I know women who Just went back to work because they wanted a easier life. Yes, working outside your house with strangers is easy. Staying at home, making a house into a home and caring for your family is worth anything! So please: "Say with pride: I am a mom and housewife!" If I was in that position I would go around and tell everyone whether he wants it doesn't want to hear: "Hello, I'm Leyla and I am a stay at home mom!" ♡♡♡
Hi Nick! Lovely to meet you! Thank you both for sharing about your life and your views. "Just" a stay-at-home mom - truly the most important occupation! Actually many occupations: Teacher, caregiver, cook, housekeeper, decorator, nurse, landscaper, home economist, and most of all mom and beloved companion. God bless your marriage and your family. You two are great together.
You two are so nice. I live in Israel and there are mostly two faiths here. The religious people here do not socialize at all with others and so when I see a religious person (specifically the religions that require special dress), I just believe they are all that way. I love your lifestyle and I hope you can share more of it. I think Amish/Mennonite lifestyle is a great way to live and to raise kids.
I use the KJV also but I also like NKJV too. The only problem that I have with other versions is that they leave out some scriptures and in the book of Revelation it states not to add to or take away from Gods word, so I stick with the KJV.
I am a new subscriber and could absolutely NOT stop to post a comment. Let me stop here and introduce myself...I was raised in the Air Force so I am accustomed to people of different ethnicities and/or religions. I am personally a Southern Baptist. I feel an affinity with anyone who teaches the plan of salvation and obviously your church agrees. You touched on the subject of the You Tube and what you like about it...well, I have found another reason to the many. In all of the places I have lived and the people I have met I was not blessed to meet any one of your faith. Your video was added to my list of subscribers because I have been watching videos regarding cleaning. Several were interesting, I.e. your trip to Texas so I was hooked. Please tell your husband, I found myself mentally "amening" him when he was describing the Lord as the leader of your faith and you as Christians first. Now I have found a new channel to binge.
I am with the no name church where we meet I homes. So nice to see someone on TH-cam that believes in Jesus Christ and show how normal your life is. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share some of your lives with all of us. I especially appreciated your testimony of your faith, I think we all need to be more willing to share what we believe with others. When I was growing up my mother worked with a fine Mennonite lady who was such a hard worker and so sweet and kind. My mother, who was a cleaning fanatic really appreciated her beautiful home. One of the reasons I like TH-cam is the chance to get to know other people and enjoy their different lives. Blessings to you and especially to your beautiful happy children. Look forward to more from you.
You are a 💕sweet couple. My daughter-in-law is Mennonite and lives in PA which is where I was from. (We are retired in Florida 21 years now.) My daughter-in-law isn't able to go to church because my son is probably angry at God and rejects everything about our faith probably because he was raised Catholic. I converted to Catholic because of marriage, but then left the Catholic Church. (They are too works based and they are so lost!). In 2005 I was born again and I would like my daughter-in-law to be able to worship and take her teen daughter to be in church on a regular basis. They both need it desperately. I wish some of you would please pray for Kristen. I love her dearly like she were my own flesh and blood daughter. It wouldn't hurt to pray that my son stops rejecting God too! Thank you if you pray.💕 I am so glad I found your channel. It helps me feel closer to my daughter-in-law. She is a lot like you. God bless you and your sweet family.

I just discovered your channel today & have been binge watching! Long story short, I've been learning everyday about Christianity and reading the Bible (grew up with 0 religious focus unfortunately) but God saved me from a very dark place in my life. I'm trying to learn more about the Mennonite culture because thus far I feel aligned with the beliefs/practices. You and your husband remind me so much of the dynamic I have with my husband. You both are so precious and it's such a blessing to see a healthy couple like yours. I hope one day you two will get to experience having a little girl! My husband and I are planning for baby #2 and currently have a little boy. 🌷🌷🌷 looking forward to your videos!!! Thank you for being such a breath of fresh air to the TH-cam world
A stay at home mom is perfect! I was able to take time off when our sons were born years ago. I would do it again! As a Respiratory Therapist by education I returned to work when the boys were older. My dear hubby and I juggled schedules. He is a gem! We pitched in together at home, and tried to always work opposite shifts! The Lord helped us with MANY challenges! We are retired now and are so much freer to help my 96 year mom and my grandkids! God has been faithful, forgiving, loves us! Our born again walk began 1972! Ups and downs for sure yet still MARRIED 50 years this year! I love your channel! 💜
Hi! I really enjoyed this video. I'm a Christian too. LDS (Mormon) is my denomination. I feel that a lot of people don't know we are Christians and view as differently than we are, similar to how people might view Mennonites differently than you are. But we are all Christians and love our Savior and are striving to follow His example.
You’re such a lovely couple x and please don’t say your “ I’m just a stay at home mum” being a mum is a full time job and an awesome and very important calling x God bless you and your family x
My Great Grandparents on my Mom’s side of the family were Mennonites! I have those Mennonite roots from way back! They came to Montana to homestead! I believe it was during the depression a lot of the homesteaders left the area, but my Grandparents (my Moms’s parents touched it out)! My Grandparents raised their family in the Nazarene Church, as by then the local Mennonite Church had closed! I am a born again Christian & I’ve been involved with a variety of Christian Churches! I attend an Alliance (CM&A) Church at present! I recently discovered your Channel & I’m really enjoying it!
You are such a cute couple. Love your testimony for Christ. Was glad I found your channel. So refreshing to hear your walk of faith. God bless you and your family.
@@poodlegirl55 Their church got too small (lost members; Amish move frequently,) so they decided to join with likeminded people nearby, who happened to be Mennonite.
Amish do not have electricity and the majority do not drive. There are many different types of Amish as well as mennonites and within each group they have their own rules. There is a sect of Mennonite who do not drive cars.
I enjoyed your chat .You have a great personality. I like your husband 's humor. Thank you for sharing your life with us. Raising children is a big job. Much success on your video's. 💕
I married a man that had lived in Berne, Indiana, and we moved there when we got married. We lived in town for a couple of months, across the street from the grocery store with the hitching posts. Then we moved to the country outside of town. We could walk from our backyard to Ohio. All of our neighbors were Amish and I felt right at home. I've been told that I could be Amish except that I have electricity and drive a car. I'm thinking that maybe I should check out the Mennonite church. I've really enjoyed watching your videos.
I have to say Lynette that you are both a stay at home mom and a working mom. TH-cam is a very important job and you do it so well! You are honoring God with his message and sharing your faith. I admire you so much. 👍💕
Such a lovely family gathering for Thanksgiving. I love seeing generations gathering together. The singing was so precious. We have a large old Mennonite community in St Jacobs, Ontario. I would love to visit Holmes area one day. Thanks for sharing.
I just stumbled upon your channel and found this video. I just LOVE the way you and your husband are together. You can feel the love and friendship that you have for one another through the screen. It is sweet. Hope you and your family have a Blessed day.
I had one of your cooking videos pop up on my you tube feed this morning and watched it. Sooo I’ve been binge watching your channel on & off all day. You two are so adorable together and your children are beautiful! So glad I came across your channel. Looking forward to seeing more. God bless
New subscriber here! I have been watching your videos for the past couple days now and I’m hooked. You are very intriguing! It’s so refreshing to watch you and as a fellow Christian, I love that you are so proud of your faith! You’re my current favourite TH-camr! 💖
I came across your channel through a youtube suggestion...I like your positive, relaxed and appreciative outlook on life. When I was visiting the US many years ago, I almost visited an Amish settling in Pennsylvania - unfortunately the trip was cancelled. These days I am glad to be able to learn more about the lifestyle of Mennonites and Amish through channels like yours. Well done & Greetings from Germany. :)
Hi Lynette! I'm a middle aged lady who stumbled upon your channel when searching for. Christmas decorating videos. I really loved yours and I love your channel! I'm from Wayne County Ohio and really appreciate your testimony.
I just found you and I am completely charmed. It is so refreshing to see a Christian couple, and to hear that the things I am watching on TH-cam line up with what other Christ-followers are enjoying. Although I watch a lot of makeup channels, but my son and I love fail videos and Daily News channel with guilty Labrador retrievers and crazy cat videos. I too live DIOAD, Love Meg, How Jen Does It and I watch a ton of quilting TH-camrs too. Thank you for sharing yourself with us, I know sometimes it's uncomfortable to open up to possible haters or have people scoff at your beliefs. I am fascinated by Amish and Mennonite communities, because of quilting and the baking. I have to go to our Mennonite community, Walnut Hill, FL, to get walnut flavoring for my fruitcake. Of course I always pick up butter, cheese and lots of jams and jellies, that is so not one of my gifts!
My dad told me that the moment my brother and I would stop our play and race to him as he came down the hill towards our home, it made all the hardships of his day at work melt away! Thank you for stirring the memory of that conversation. My father has been with the Lord for 32 years this month (September).
I’m a new subscriber. I was born and raised Catholic, left the faith as a teenager and was born again about 5 years ago. Now, I live very much like you, no TVs, I believe in living by the words of Yeshua, (Jesus) and those of the Bible. I don’t know how you ended up on my feed, but I’m so glad you did! I’ve watched, oh, maybe 5 videos, this being the first with your husband. And I’m so happy for you two! He’s almost more outgoing than you are, but still with the love of Our Lord! I also live in Ohio, but wayyyy up north in Toledo. I’m actually hoping to buy land and homestead, but we’ll see, I’m getting a little too old for that perhaps! Thanks for your content! You and your family are just a joy!
I am a SAHM as well. My husband takes out the trash and does the yard work. I do everything else. He works full time so I take care of the home he provides for us.
@@LynetteYoder, I was a SAHM also my household duties were the same as yours but I didn't mow the grass. Now that we are retired & older I need help in our home because I have 40 years of spinal stenosis & arthritis. After all these years of doing no housework my husband almost refuses to do the 1 thing I need him to do the most. That is vacuum & moping our floors. He Loves outdoors work. I really enjoy your channel. BTW, Nic has a great personality & humor. I can say the same about mine of 48 years.
Love your channel. I am a believer in Jesus as well and a Baptist Pastor's wife. It is nice to see other Christians on TH-cam that put the Lord first and value His Word! Much success!
Love your channel! Born and raised in Cincinnati, but have been in Florida for the last 17 years. Such a sweet and humble couple! Thanks for sharing!!!
So cool to run into this video! You guys are great! I live in Pennsylvania! I have A LOT of neighbors around here that are Mennonites. Most of them are horse and buggy Mennonites. My dad actually works in a steel shop for Mennonites.
Just found your channel and really enjoying it. You're husband is a hoot you are so lovely together. Anybody LESS oppressed looking I've yet to come across. I'm not particularly religious but to those who put their negative statements out there, I would remind them of something I learned in school "JUDGE NOT LEST YE BE JUDGED!"
Hi! New subscriber here. When I lived back east in the Hudson Valley we had a community of Mennonites and I know how nice they are. It's so refreshing to find people who have the same Christian beliefs.
SOOOO... we have lots! of Mennonites in Canada! I was brought up between Quebec and Ontario and thought that Mennonites were all of the Amish persuasion! I moved to British Columbia in my later teens and met Mennonites who looked and behaved like those in my church! I came from a Ukranian background on my father's side so was used to some of the cooking. I ended up working with special needs for 20 years with M.C.C. and with seniors as a nursing assistant another 5 years in a seniors complex run by the Mennonite Brethren Mennonites. My children did their schooling from K-12 at a Mennonite school and my husband became a Christian through a substitue teacher at the same Mennonite school when he first immigrated from Italy! It is interesing how his people group as positively blessed my family! Thank you for sharing your lives with us! p.s. We have never had cable tv as we wanted to save money! We would check out videos/DVD's from the public librry prior to the computer or watch the news with "rabbit ears" to keep in touch!
You two are absolutely lovely! I left the church, but if I was to be convinced to come back, you both would do it for me ❤ One of my closest friends years ago was Mennonite and I was not (was strict Baptist) but she never judged me, always embraced me and helped me in one of the worst times of my life. Your energy reminds me of hers Lynette, and is giving me hope that I can recover from the church trauma I went through. May you both have a lovely and wonderful day, and life ❤
Aww! 😢 I’m sorry! Church problems are hard! I know that from experience. And I wish there weren’t ever problems. But alas we are human. I do hope you give it a chance 😉 no church is perfect.. and no one is perfect. But God meets us where we are at. 💕
Lynette Yoder Thank you for your kind words 🌼 I don't imagine I will return, but I am slowly letting go of what happened and am not as angry about church and Christians as a whole, as I once was. People with seemingly kind hearts like you folks, are showing me that not all conservative Christians are the same and they don't all have the cruel and judgemental attitudes I encountered.
Try to remember the cruelty, the judgement, the hypocrisy... That's not Christ. That's not Jesus. I don't feel like I can explain what I'm trying to say. I just hope when you hear that someone is a Christian, or phrase "going to church" for instance, that you think of Jesus, not the people who caused you pain. Jesus loves you. Above all things, remember this.
OMG, I love how you were against the word budget. Us, too! Almost 30 years in we have a budget and we are always working on it. We would be great friends!
It's so patient and kind of you to answer questions ,many only asked because people are so curious about your faith . Your videos and openness help break stereotypes.
You make a lovely couple and complement each other so well. My husband always washes the Dinner dishes since he got hurt in 911. I work now. Well been working since I was 14. When I had my two sons stood home for 4 years until they started school. You keep a lovely home. Thank you for sharing, with us. I enjoy the Q&A, it was nice of your Husband to be supportive.
Loved this video, you are just regular people to me. And now I know a little more about your believes. I am a Christian, i sure wish our son was a toddler again, cause they grow so fast. Nick needs to do more videos, cause he has a really good sense of humour. I stumbled upon these utube channels by accident. And I just love them, I am way behind in my tv shows. And I never even realized that you don’t have a tv. I’m rambling now. God bless
I attended a Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Va, for nursing degree. Wonderful, hard working community of people. Perhaps they have a stronger stand in their beliefs, which should put some of us to shame for not?
I just found your channel today ! And i appreciate the fact you freely express your love for God! Ive watched about 5 videos! Blessings to you and your family 😊
Hi Lyn! I know what you mean by “ community “ in TH-cam! I love the way one can find people with same/ similar tastes, points of view... that would probably have struggled finding close by since many of us live so far away 🤗 For example I currently live in Germany but I’ve been following for years the same youtubers you have mentioned 😮I’m also a SAHM and TH-cam has helped me a lot!
Oh man, you guys are adorable. Just found your channel. I grew up Church of the Brethren, and my grandparents were German Baptist. We had Mennonite friends. Love your videos! I love cleaning as well so it’s fun to watch your cleaning videos! Great channel and you guys are so cute. God bless you!
Loved this q&a, I just came upon your channel well the one with the cleaning I think it was recent. But I was like she seems like a nice person to fallow and found a q&a. I'm gonna check out some more vids.
This was great!!! I live up in Northern Ohio about 20 minutes from the Amish settlement in Middlefield. Also a christian! Praise God. I was sent over by James and Lea!
This was such a great video!! Thank you Nic and Lynette for answering my budget question...I felt like you were speaking directly to me...awesome!! I would love to see this type of video again in the future!! Janel in NJ :)
Thank you for your TH-cam work! Some of my happy family memories are in southern Ohio Amish country. Your videos make my afternoon coffee time happier! 😊

Would love a video on how/why you left the Amish community.
She answered that in another video. She said her childhood Amish church decided to change to Mennonite at one point.
@@poodlegirl55 Their church got too small (lost members; Amish move frequently,) so they decided to join with likeminded people nearby, who happened to be Mennonite.
So: [almost] ALL Amish are members of the Mennonite Church, but most Mennonites are not Amish.
Amish do not have electricity and the majority do not drive. There are many different types of Amish as well as mennonites and within each group they have their own rules. There is a sect of Mennonite who do not drive cars.
Your warmth and love for each other is very inspiring. Thank you for sharing!!!
Your channel showed up on my recommended and I can’t stop watching. So happy I found you! Seems like a wonderful family.
Just found your channel and have been watching for 10 hrs
😅 well thanks !
I just stumbled upon your channel and found this video. I just LOVE the way you and your husband are together. You can feel the love and friendship that you have for one another through the screen. It is sweet. Hope you and your family have a Blessed day.
You guys are such a cute, fun couple! Loved getting to know both of you!
Thanks for doing this video! It was fun getting to know y'all :)
I had one of your cooking videos pop up on my you tube feed this morning and watched it. Sooo I’ve been binge watching your channel on & off all day. You two are so adorable together and your children are beautiful! So glad I came across your channel. Looking forward to seeing more. God bless
Lol. I love your husband!! I love his humor. You both are great together ❤️
I love the fun personality in your marriage 😊
There's no script and that is awesome. Love y'all's energy and positiveness.
Dave Ramsey is great! My daughter used to work for his organization. Great group of people.
What an adorable couple you make! LOVE how you share your faith! I’m so happy to have found your channel!
My dad told me that the moment my brother and I would stop our play and race to him as he came down the hill towards our home, it made all the hardships of his day at work melt away! Thank you for stirring the memory of that conversation. My father has been with the Lord for 32 years this month (September).
YT4Me57 😢 I'm so sorry!! I'm sure it's still very hard at times not having him here!!
you remind me of the Penticostals back in Romania....God bless you.xx
Hey Nick. Haven't seen you in a while. I just moved back to KY. I remember you from the gazebo days.
Jessaleigh Wonderful! I too feel like I can do most of the things here since Nic works a ton!
Thank you so much for sharing your life with all of us and your time
Love your channel. I am a believer in Jesus as well and a Baptist Pastor's wife. It is nice to see other Christians on TH-cam that put the Lord first and value His Word! Much success!
this was so fun. great to get to know you better. the two of you together are so cute. you seem like you have a lot of fun together
Robin Johnson 😄 thanks! He keeps me laughing!
@@LynetteYoder ....which is also very important!
I find your channel so refreshing.
Love your channel! Born and raised in Cincinnati, but have been in Florida for the last 17 years. Such a sweet and humble couple! Thanks for sharing!!!
Adorable! Thanks for sharing and having courage to speak your beliefs!
So cool to run into this video! You guys are great! I live in Pennsylvania! I have A LOT of neighbors around here that are Mennonites. Most of them are horse and buggy Mennonites. My dad actually works in a steel shop for Mennonites.
Taylor Jean That's so cool!! We do have some of the horse and buggy mennonites fairly close by as well!
Loved this! Definitely add some vlogs in the mix :)
💕
We used to live in Indiana among the Amish and Mennonites. You're a breath of fresh air. Thanks for sharing your lives. :-)
SOOOO... we have lots! of Mennonites in Canada!
We would check out videos/DVD's from the public librry prior to the computer or watch the news with "rabbit ears" to keep in touch!
great video!!! it was nice getting to know a little about you and your family. Thanks for sharing!!!
Connie Kempf What a beautifully said reply 🌼 Thank you for your words and for caring to reply to this ☺ Be blessed!
Great Q&A you both seem so down to earth, thanks for sharing.
rowiegrl Thanks! Somehow I missed your comment..😬
You are such a lovely couple!! Just started watching your vids and here I am going back to older videos to catch up!!
Thanks for the video . Nice getting to know you guys a little bit better !
OMG, I love how you were against the word budget. Us, too! Almost 30 years in we have a budget and we are always working on it. We would be great friends!
What a great video- loved hearing both sets of answers. You two are perfect for one another.
Thank you, it is good to hear people talk about their faith. I will keep watching.
It's so patient and kind of you to answer questions ,many only asked because people are so curious about your faith . Your videos and openness help break stereotypes.
💕👍🏽
You make a lovely couple and complement each other so well. My husband always washes the Dinner dishes since he got hurt in 911. I work now. Well been working since I was 14. When I had my two sons stood home for 4 years until they started school. You keep a lovely home. Thank you for sharing, with us. I enjoy the Q&A, it was nice of your Husband to be supportive.
Yea, For Cincinnati! I'm in Northern Kentucky.
I think it’s great that someone like you is on TH-cam.
God bless
I really enjoyed your Q&A. You both are so down to earth, how refreshing. My adopted father was Amish then Mennonite, you explained it well.
You are such a lovely couple! I can see you both enjoy and appreciate each other. I'm a new subscriber and look forward to seeing ALL your videos! 😊🇨🇦
Thank you for this lovely video and for sharing your lives with us. You are both wonderful people. What a blessing it is to get to know you .
I just found your channel and love it. I grew up in a Mennonite church although my family wasn’t Mennonite. Very fond memories.
This like sitting down and having a coffee chat. Keep them coming!
Love your channel and the way you allow us into your life and walk of faith.
You two obviously enjoy each other and have very happy marriage! Thank you so much for posting. Love all the laughter between you
cute couple, came across your channel few days ago, really liking your videos.
Awwwww you two are such a cute couple!! Thank you for sharing with us and it is wonderful that you share your life with us :D
I enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing. We are independent baptist. I live in PA in Snyder County in the middle of Amish and Mennonite community.
Loved this video.....it was nice getting to know a little bit about you.
i am Catholic but I just discovered your channel. what a refreshing channel... enjoying catching up.
+Marie Diana 💗
Oh man, you guys are adorable. Just found your channel. I grew up Church of the Brethren, and my grandparents were German Baptist. We had Mennonite friends. Love your videos! I love cleaning as well so it’s fun to watch your cleaning videos! Great channel and you guys are so cute. God bless you!
Yes love Kat, i agree so many youtubers are great to follow including yours. Thanks for sharing info about you. ♡♡
Janel T we were happy to!!
Thank you for your TH-cam work! Some of my happy family memories are in southern Ohio Amish country. Your videos make my afternoon coffee time happier! 😊
