This is one of the most perfect comebacks ever. Timmy has always been one of my favorite deathcore vocalists and The Resting Sonata one of the darkest and more solid deathcore releases ever. This is like The Resting Sonata but possesed by TBDM and I f*ck with it 💪🏿😈🔥

These kinds of riffs is what deathcore has been missing for the better part of the past decade. This shit is so nasty, phenomenal guitar work.
I didn't even clock this as deathcore because of the god-tier riffing, I swear I had huge tech death vibes here. Genres aside, this is beautiful.
Agreed! Deathcore has been garbage for some time now! This is what Deathcore should have evolved into! That's just my opinion though and I'm not trying to start an argument! I've loved every single album since the demos! Keep killing it Rose funeral!!
I have to agree. That’s what’s kept me away from most deathcore. Not drawing on death metal enough riff wise. But this ain’t half bad.
@@IAteTheAntiChristthere were bands that definitely did it at first, then by their 3rd album or so, devolved into some kind of want to be "Djent" ,Black Tongue type band. Or just sold out all together and became a Metal Core band instead. That is what has been keeping me from sticking with Death Core... too much inconsistency

@@timmyrussell1571 Gates of Punishment will always be one of my favorite albums. Discovered it around Halloween and MTGs release of Innistrad forever ago. Will always be one of my favorite go to albums for learning to scream. I could never high scream the best (wasn't shit) but dude you're fucking lows man.... Music to the ears.
You, Mitch (R.I.P. man) and Phil Bozeman will always be the go to for learning screams in my eyes. Carnifex too. My iPad took a shit so I look forward to replacing G.O.P with a physical copy instead of buying it on shitty itunes again. Stay well and can't wait for the next CD. Glad you guys are back.

I always loved old school 2000s era deathcore because it sounded like metalcores bigger meaner older brother, and the sound is back.❤️
It's always a struggle for me to find music like this. Its out there, but I don't want 3 minutes of a 3 and a half minute song to be chugging and your "solo" is a blistering fast arpeggio sweep and back to chug. I like riffs/leads throughout.

Well, they kept the MySpace era sound, but also improved on the epicness that was Gates of Punishment. The only thing lacking was the vocal prowess, and the return of the original vocalist has helped immensely! I also didn’t realize that both vox’s are being used. Very cool. Can’t wait for the new album. Anyone know what it’s called?

This even sounds like Technical Death Metal, the variety and the melodies are very serios here 🔥 worthed waiting, and for some reason the parts wich Ryan mixes with Timmy i feel an indescribable improve compared to Gates Of Punishment, they are mixed in the perfect moment and Timmy brings me to my nostalgia so dark as ever, fucking unbelievable this is happening

2009 I discovered this band the resting sonata has my all time favorite breakdown in the entirety of the last 20+ years I've listened to deathcore/deathmetal (redeemer of flesh) and it still holds true this was by far the most epic fucking return of 2022 by far in my opinion no debate I can't wait to see what the future holds for you boys!!!
