Sridharji, My Guru, Swami Parathasarathy, in his book, Vedanta Treatise, with whom I did the 3 year residential course in Vedanta, categories people into two main categories, as Aggressive and Passive and then subdivides them also into Aggressively good and Aggressively bad and Passively Good and Passively Pad. He says one should try to become like the Aggressively Good like Krishna and not like the aggressively bad like the Śakuni. He says, Duryodana was pāssively bad and Yudhisthira was passively good. He says that 90-95% of the public are passively good, and therefore they suffer at the hands of the 5% aggressively-bad and passively-bad. He says Yudhisthira and the Pāndavas suffered at the hands of the aggressively bad Śakuni and passively bad Duryodana, and that is why they lost in the dice-game because Yudhisthira did not consult the aggressively good Krishna before accepting the dice-game invitation. If he had done, Krishna would have played the dice on behalf of Pandavas and they would not have lost. One may explanatorily say that the Panḍavas suffered because of the pūrva karma kṛta prārabdha, but this is the science behind the commoner suffering at the hands of the vicious; and then Swamiji trains one how one should become aggressively good in life.
What's the necessity of a long para here. Anyway a stories only carry entertainment value than moral value in the current day. You can also become an orator with your skills.
