Equipping Systems to Support American Indian and Alaska Native Families Affected by Substance Use-AD

Presenters share information about policies and practices that separated American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) families and the legislation developed to respond to those policies and practice. Specific strategies and tools, including the new publication The Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) Active Efforts Support Toolkit, to equip child welfare, substance use treatment, and other family service providers to deliver culturally appropriate services for AI/AN families are also highlighted.
