    No, Quik was around well before Deathrow. He is not to be associated with jr producers “in the shadow of Dre.”

  • @ri067953
    @ri067953 2 ปีที่แล้ว +26

    DJ Quik is right. He actually surpasses Dre in my opinion. Musically, technically and on the mic he smokes Dre. Dre can bring a group of beat makers together but music is in Quik. The only reason Dre blew up is because of Jimmy Iovine. He made Dre a brand and helped Dre make wise decisions post Death Row.

      Jimmy Iovine was a nobody before Dre and Suge , and they MADE him not the other way

    • @graymaybe8587
      @graymaybe8587 2 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      He already was a legend for his work with NWA before Jimmy stop trying to give that white man his credit . Quick and Dre technically probably equals, but Dre is a creative genius as a visionary and bringing out the best in artists

    Comparing Quik to Dre is like comparing Teddy Riley to Quincy Jones, 1 is a great producer with numerous hits throughout the decades & the other is Quincy fucking Jones who created shit like Thriller. There’s different levels. Quik needs to relax.
