Nicola, much love, brother. So many memories of the 1990s. Dead friends and family who are no longer here, the fun we used to have, the house parties. *NEVER* take your page down.
I grew up in The Bronx I'm 56 those trains and clothes were from the 70's 80's all you young cats that wish you can go back to hang with the MCs DJs listen carefully its a package deal fire engines all night looking out your window seeing your friends and relatives building burning down funerals where the smell of burnt meat came from the coffin no matter how much cheap deodorizer the funeral home used waking up smelling smoke hoping it's not your turn yes you need to take the bad with the good. R.I.P. Mickey, Jessica, Raul, Hector you didn't deserve to go the way you did because of others greed.
I’m near you in age from Brooklyn. I feel you. Being a teenager in the 80’s in NYC was great, but also tragic. Real Hip-Hop, Original Hip-Hop culture, was born under times that could crush your spirit sometimes. Appreciate your comment. Cause I see those images and hear the beat and I remember it all like you do the good and the bad too. How it felt too hot and then too cold with the seasons, how it smelled different in different parts of the city: near the water, in the stair cases of old buildings, at the bus stop on the blvd, or in different train stations (above ground.. below ground ...) hip-hop wasn’t really a business, it was local. It was us. How WE rocked some shit made it Fresh. We didn’t even call it culture back then, it was just how life was growing up in NY. Trying not to get mugged by adults, or jumped by other kids.. peer pressure sparking random Break Dance battles on the street. Crackheads that were sad as hell, but sometimes funny as shit to me as a kid. Wine-Os on the street with paper bags over their bottles always trying to tell you some life lessons - like you gonna listen to THEM. Naw chief, I don’t think so! :-) I was crazy back then.
Beat street. What a great film! Style wars too. Thanks Nicola for keeping the essence alive. Your channel is the hip hop old school with capital letters. GRAZIE AMIGO COM SEMPRE. Greetings from Spain
Damn Nicola you can really impress me by showing something I live but at the same time "I never lived" except for the images haha But I'm sure my spirit belongs to this time. Praise this indisputable urban musical culture: HIP HOP 'TIL THA DAY I DIE 4REAL !!
I’m from the UK and grew up in the 80s-90s and I remember being shown these types of videos at school, probably drug awareness videos. But these would have been current to my time.
si io essendo nato all'inizio degli anni 80 non ricordo granché di quel periodo, ma perlomeno mi sono preso delle belle soddisfazioni vivendo appieno gli anni 90... big up inoki
Sick - Riddile in art and soul vol 3 or maybe Remulak in scrambled eggs or Phoniks in down to earth made a beat from this simple and to me is very gd as it respect old sch origin btw can’t check it right now but will edit the comment and specific

accetto la "critica"... questa mia foto l'ho messa per altre ragioni, anche se effettivamente non c'entra niente con i contenuti del canale
Fuck I wish I can go back and stay. Fuck Facebook Twitter instagram
Not too far off from the 90s
No social media
wow there's no coronavirus at that time

Yo Nicola, can you put together an all female mix every now and then? Little to no representation
These are slices of an era let's keep it at that. We both know this was a different time. It's like talking about the 70s in 01.
Very bad. :,)_-.
absolutely gorgeous
