That Was AN INSANE TAKE...!!! (Fishing the SEAPLANE BASIN, FL)

  • In this video, EPF gets some INSANE hits while exploring and fishing the Seaplane Basin in Tampa, FL! What species could bite so hard?! Stay tuned and thou shall find out...! 😉 This is EP2 of the 2021 "Champa Bay" fishing trip that I did back in February, after the Buccaneers won against the Chiefs.
    [February 22nd, 2021 (Fishing Session Number 11)]
    Read more about it below:
    Did you know that...?
    💀...Just like many of my other fishing adventures, this was my first time EVER at the Seaplane Basin! Taking that in consideration, here is EPF's tip of the day: when exploring new fishing spots, make sure to always "scout" the area first before deciding where to fish! This particular move can be the different between getting skunked or landing a GREAT fish at the end of the day.
    💀...Due to the "Big Sugar" companies releasing nutrient rich water from Lake Okeechobee into the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico back in 2018, the 2018-2019 Red Tide season in Florida was catastrophic. Thousands of fish died due to this! If you are interested in this topic, just Google "Okeechobee Sugar Red Tide," and a bunch of articles on it will pop up!
    💀...EPF likes living on the edge!!! Okay...I am just kidding. 🤣 The reason why my spools are always so empty is because I always forget to re-spool my reels before these fishing trips! If you watched some of the more recent videos (April), then you know that I switched from the Berkley Vanish to the Seaguar Red Label just recently...and now my Sedona 500's are fully spooled.

    Only Leo can get away with using an ultralight rod in saltwater. Good video my man.

    • @vjabonador1067
      @vjabonador1067 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      UL is quite popular here in Southeast Asia, throwing lures around 5 grams (3/16 ounces) for reef species. There's also a specific technique with tiny soft plastics similar to Eurotackle lures called Ajing which can even land you hard-fighting fish like trevallies (Jack Crevalles are from this family), groupers, snappers or emperors.

      @@fishingwithnas3287 yup, the Ajing style is slowly becoming more popular here in the Philippines. I myself just bought a new Relix Capung 7ft UL rod to use for it.
