Counterattack while moving is the same principle in wadoryu. Gedan barai used for deflecting an attack and punching, we call seiken barai. The principles of kakete/kakie is exactly the same we study in kakeuke when we're practicing pinan yondan in the last 2 movements, and in seishan. Intercepting the punch in haitto then grap and pull down making pressure by seriuto (the pisiform bone).

I think most Karate styles have merged and borrowed from each other they have all been researched since the sixties thanks to the open mind of teachers and those who wish to add to their experience
Not entirely, now you can say that basically all modern Japanese karate styles have done so from each other, and all Okinawan karate styles literally were all formed from the same arts, some just applied in slightly different ways. But the two, modern Japanese karate and traditional Okinawan karate have virtually zero similarities.
1. Your wrist bone certainly is not his wrist bone lol, 2. You landed on the ground on your hands with all your weight rather than striking a human body. 3. The idea is to strike softer /more exposed or vulnerable parts of the body, nerves ect. You wouldn't hit someone over the head with it lmao

Also in Rohai kata after the Naname zuki, catch and pull.
Not familiar with the terms but these are also things in wing Chun(which this karate does come from wing Chun and white crane)

菊野先生にナイハンチの引き手が突きになると仰ってた沖拳の山城先生、
本土にて剣術柔術要素の多い和道流でまさにいなして崩す大塚先生。

Okinawan karate is far more similar to styles of kung Fu than it is to Japanese karate like kyoukoshin or something.
