One of the reasons I'm still a morning person is because I like those solitary moments. Loved your video, as always, Cari! Hope you and Kurt are well and having a great week!
your videos mean so much to me! whenever i feel unmotivated and unproductive, i watch your content and i remember to be more aware of things around me and be grateful. Have fun travelling! excited to see your travel content
I lived in Prague 5 months its my favourite city ever. I hope you will enjoy it ❤ Vienna is also mesmerizing, stunning architecture feels like a giant open museum
I am going through a little bit of a rough patch in my life right now, but watching your videos always bring me such peace and comfort! It brings me back to my exchange period in Seoul in the nicest and nostalgic way possible ☺ Btw You've also inspired me to pick up reading as a hobby again so thank you!!
Interesting about the standing espresso bar. A lot of the auto grills in Italy had standing only coffee and pastry areas. A few had seating areas where you could eat the food you purchased from there. You are so crafty and artsy Cari. I love it. Your frog was cute. Korea seems to be the interesting cafe capital of the world. 😊
Hi Cari Just wanted to say thank you! 💕 I fell in love with Seoul when i first discovered your videos a couple of years ago and they have always kept me inspired and motivated through the pandemic And now I just got accepted for an exchange semester for an university in seoul next fall🥳
haven't watched your videos in ages for some reason but i'm back now!! I lived in Korea for a year until last July and watching your videos again makes me miss it so so much
OMG, I love Kiki's Delivery Service!!! That café was so cute! And I recently read Diana Wynne Jones' Howl's Moving Castle as well! I love the book and the movie. But the best part of the book, in my opinion, is when Sophie goes with the magic boots and has so many problems with getting to the right place! That was hilarious. Thank you for a nice vlog.
Really can't wait for your Euro vlogs. I lived in Prague for 2 years and it's my second home at this point. My fairytale city :) Vienna is also breathtaking, full of art and music and great chocolate! Have lots of fun Cari.
What you said about post-travel energy levels and pushing yourself to go outside is exactly what I'm feeling for already 10 days after being back from a month-long trip. Thanks for the reality check 😅😂
That cup pastry had no business looking this cute!!! I am all for Ghibli-inspired coffee places and when the menu goes all out with the presentation, I know it's the right place for me! Loved this vlog, as always
those quiet moments when there's no one around are the best!! it's like the feeling i get from liminal spaces, but bigger harrow is a ride and a half, good luck!! 👍
I also love the early mornings due to it’s peaceful and calmness 😊. Why is every cafe in Korea so aesthetically pleasing lol. You’re going to Europe how exciting I cannot wait for those videos 😀
I'm a Proust fanboy. 'Paintings in Proust' is a great companion for all the beautiful artwork he mentions. And his housekeeper wrote a book about her time with him for the last 8 years of his life. Such an interesting person.
Been so busy with school I barely had time to binge your videos. Now I have free time so I’m just chilling with my tea and your vids. Immaculate vibes 🍃
I don't know where you get the energy to cram so much into one week, but it's amazing to watch lol. I've also noticed that in some shots, there are areas of the city that have an overwhelming amount of signage and visual clutter, yet other areas have almost nothing. There also seems to be a ridiculous amount of wiring hanging above the streets! I live in a semi-rural area, so I'm not used to seeing that much stuff in one place. Take care, don't over do it and exhaust yourself before your trip. Save your energy! Can't wait to see the results of your Prague/Venice adventure. 🙂
Have fun in Prague and Vienna. Can’t wait to see your travels. I am a graphic artist and I love Kiki. I was planning on taking an animated black cat tutorial this week so you inspired me.
How exciting! I hope you‘ll have a wonderful & lovely stay in Vienna ❤ I live there, so maybe I can come to the meet up. Please don‘t miss out to drink our excellent coffee variations, experiencing our café‘s (Vienna invented the coffee house culture 🥰) and of course eating Kaiserschmarrn 😋💕
Sweet! You gonna love it! ☺ I highly recommend the "Einspänner" coffee and of course the "Wiener Melange" 💞 Hopefully the weather will be better until then because Viennese Winter is just grey and ugly.
Cari, your vlogs are so calming and lovely to watch. I've been feeling so heavy emotionally and mentally these past few days and after watching your contents i felt kinda relieved and i really don't know how to explain this but just your vlogs lift up my mood and i'm so thankful about it
HI, I'm Korean. Thanks for introducing Seoul. I'm citizen of Seoul, and I'm living in Seongdong in Seoul. "Seongdong" means "east of the wall" or "east of the fortress" in English. Old Seoul was smaller than Today Seoul, and Seongdong is located to the wall of old Seoul. Seoul means "capital" in English. Most Korean people doesn't use "Seoul" as common noun anymore, but "Seoul" was only common noun until 1946. Before 1946, "Seoul" was not name of city, just common noun meaning "capital". Even Korean people are not using "Seoul" as common noun, but it still means 'capital' in dictionary. So You can say "the seoul of USA is Washington DC". Seoul is only "Special City" in South Korea. "Special City" is status for capital and separated from province, just like Washington DC is separated from State of Maryland, and Virginia. And there are several numbers of "Metropolitan City" like Busan or daegu, and they are also separated from province. "Special City" and "Metropolitan City"s are Independent city, so they are no difference with provinces. Gangnam was part of Gyeonggi province, but included to Seoul in 1963. Gangnam means "south of river". It was because gangnam was located to the south of Hangang River. At first, Gangnam was part of Seongdong, but was separated later. Enjoy in Korea.
i wish that café had existed when i was living in seoul last year 🙈 also, super excited about you coming to vienna!! i hope you'll enjoy your stay here!
ilysm Cari. today's weather is rather beautiful today and you make me wanna leave my slump period and go explore my city again 😌🍃 (Tagaytay City, Philippines)
I have been watching your videos since you had less than 15000 followers. And after so much time I will finally be able to go to one of your meetups, i cant believe it and im really looking forward to it. Love your videos and I hope you will enjoy your trip 😊
I love your job too, lol I've recently started working a depressing job with like a million hours and not enough pay, and your videos give me life. So excited to watch.

I live in SoCal California and bought self-warming eye masks from Costco a few years ago. The brand is Popmask Starry Eyes. I love them! They are really warm and so relaxing.
That's my girl -- you're reading "How Proust Can Change Your Life"!!! Also, I'll take "Potate" on that shirt as a good nonsense English word. ^~^ If you dig Alain de Botton's writing style, he's got a lot of books from which to choose for another foray. I'd recommend "The Romantic Movement," "The Course of Love," or "Consolations of Philosophy" next.
Hi!! I'm pretty sure you'll love your trip to Prague and Vienna. I don't remember much places in Prague since I went too long ago, but there was a place with an incredible (I want to say Musshroom) soup. And in Vienna I went last October and I still haven't recovered from it. Such a beautiful city, everything looks like art. There were three cafés that I loved and I think you'll love them too. The first one is Adlerhof Café Bistro & Bar, is not in the city center, but you could take the trolley car around the Opernring (and experience itself) or the subway. That Kiki Cafe looked amazzzzing! I would have bought way too much there lol I will also always read anything Diana Wynne Jones. She does cozy, but slightly dark middle grade fantasy so well. I recently read a standalone by her called Archer's Goon, which I highly recommend! Also just read another mg called Amari and the Night Brothers that was excellent (but be warned the third book hasn't pubbed yet!)
Cari, what iPhone do you have? Do you shoot videos on your phone and take pictures on your camera? I can't find information about what you use for footage ❤️❤️❤️
loved the vlog! It's been a while since I've seen your vlogs D: so I'm a bit lost with the bookclub! Does it have to do with a new job or is it a hobby-related thing? Would love to know more!
I live in Prague and if you need any tips on cafes & other things to do and see, I'm here! (the cafe scene in Prague is actually amazing.. so many cool spots have popped up in the past 6-7 years and it seems there's a brand new cafe opening every week!)
Hii Cari! I always love your videos and you actually inspired me to visit Korea in cherry blossoms season this year!! I’m so excited 😊 i always notice you find vegan/veggie friendly traditional korean food at restaurants! Do you have any restaurant recommendations for vegan korean food? 😊 or is it really easy to find anywhere bc they have a tofu/veggie option at most places? I would love a restaurant/cafe recommendations vid where you sum up your veggie/vegan faves, would be so helpful and i think lots of people would find a video like that helpful because you eat the best food!! 😊♥️
For strict vegan options I would def research ahead of time cause a lot of “veggie” options might have fish or meat broths or flavoring 😬 but especially in the city of seoul you can find lots of great vegan restaurants 😍😍😍 hope you have an amazing time! One way to be really sure youre safe and vegan is to look for temple/buddhist food - they often have cheap buffets near temples :)
I second the 'temple food' suggestion 🙂 There are some wonderful restaurants in this category, a few of which are well known. I recommend Sanchon in Insa-dong if you ever find yourself over that way!
@@caricakes oh yes im aware hahahhaha i have binged watched most of your caricanread videos but i was hoping you could tell what some of you must reads are so i can read them next month🙆♀️😅

Hi Cari! It's been almost a month since I passed my board exam for professional teachers and to tell you honestly you helped me get through my anxiety while waiting for the result. In fact after knowing that I am a licensed teacher now I feel lost and useless but rewatching your vlogs really comforts me. I feel like at least I escape from the reality of being pressured. I just want to let you know that your vlog helped me a lot. Thank you! 🧡
Is Artbox something similar to Michaels but a cheaper (or expensive) store for crafts and stuff? I just found out there's an Artbox location in Canada in British Columbia, but it would take over 38hrs to get there by car from where I live in Ontario, Canada.
I forgot for a bit how much joy and calmness your vlogs bring me!! After moving I got stuck watching Elementary (crime) and that didn’t exactly ~boost~ my mood, so now I’m back watching you with my breakfast! 🌷☕️
I'm glad you are doing well, I hope you are resting well enough for your next travels! At March 3rd I should be not be under restrictions and I can try to explore more of Seoul, is there anywhere you highly recommend?
I'm a bit sad that I can't swing to Prague before Paris because it'd be very lovely to meet you but I hope you have the best of times in both Prague and Vienna, I adore both cities! The Koriko Cafe is so cute ohmygod. I do always wonder if these Ghibli themed cafes need any kind of permission from Ghibli though.
“Oh no they have merch” LOL I FEEL THAT, the pulls of consumerism are strong sometimes, esp with how cute that cafe was 🥺🥺💜

In fact after knowing that I am a licensed teacher now I feel lost and useless but rewatching your vlogs really comforts me. I feel like at least I escape from the reality of being pressured. I just want to let you know that your vlog helped me a lot. Thank you! 🧡
The Kiki Café, was so cute!
OMG :')
Right?!!
@@caricakes Yes! I think, if i lived in Seoul, this would be my favorite Café xD
Is Artbox something similar to Michaels but a cheaper (or expensive) store for crafts and stuff? I just found out there's an Artbox location in Canada in British Columbia, but it would take over 38hrs to get there by car from where I live in Ontario, Canada.
It definitely has less craft stuff than michaels - its more like a stationary store with some fun small crafts :)
@@caricakes It sounds like a fun store
I forgot for a bit how much joy and calmness your vlogs bring me!! After moving I got stuck watching Elementary (crime) and that didn’t exactly ~boost~ my mood, so now I’m back watching you with my breakfast! 🌷☕️
Omg yeah thats a heavy show (but lucy liu 😍😍😍) happy to have breakfast with you anytime 🥰🥰🥰
I'm glad you are doing well, I hope you are resting well enough for your next travels! At March 3rd I should be not be under restrictions and I can try to explore more of Seoul, is there anywhere you highly recommend?
excited for you to go on your trip!! :)
Thank you!!
Yay I'm watching a video that just came out lol
💗💗💗
omg praggg im so excited
I hope fun on your Europe trips
thank you!!
