I'm dead serious my mom hasn't changed makeup, like EVER. I see in the bathroom the same lipsticks and stuff from when I was a child and would go over her stuff (and I'm from 1993). We got her new stuff but she can't let go anything ._. I feel bad for her sometimes

This just gave me the opportunity for a teaching moment for my five-year-old daughter. I was watching this while eating some breakfast and my daughter walked in. I paused (because profanity) but she saw the video I was watching and said, "That boy looks silly." And I asked her why, and she said, "Because boys look silly in makeup!" (Thanks, Utah Valley community.) We ended up having a long conversation about how just because we're not used to something or it makes us uncomfortable doesn't make it bad. I try to teach my kids to be open-minded and understanding, but it's amazing the things that slip through the cracks when they don't come up every day. Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you for doing what you do, for being a great example to those who feel outside traditional gender role expectation, and for giving me a good teaching opportunity for my daughter. :)

It’s so hard today with so much divisiveness to use moments of misunderstanding, even if we don’t agree with them, as teaching moments. Most people today let things slide because they feel so detached from the situation & that only leads to the spread of bigotry (not that I’m calling you or your daughter a bigot, I’m just speaking generally) so good on you for doing the right thing! ❤️

My mom and I did each other's makeup for fun, and as is as doing her foundation i asked what she applied it with and she said her hands. And I just looked at her and have her a beauty sponge. I just got her to use it and I'm 18, so she'd been using her hands for almost 35 years

@@Katieeebuggz I know for me I do use a lot of the same old "bleep" but it's because it works. I have a lot of makeup (I'm trying to use up and not buy more now because I work behind a mask these days) but I love makeup and I'm always in search of the holy grail of any given product...I do find them for them to be discontinued...my skin changes again...styles change and the too occasional "I see something new and sparkly and I want it". Stuff starts to accumulate...blushing now naturally!🤗🤫

I know you dont normally do your makeup this way BUT it is stunning. The gorgeous smokey eyes with the shadow brought up higher and the stila liquid. Its stunning. Your eyebrows are gorgeous with the lighter look. AND the biggest bestest enhancement is the color of the foundations. You look sooooo much hotter with a tanned look. I love it i live for it

When my mom puts her makeup on in the car, instead of liquid foundation, she uses foundation powder. She has a brown eyeshadow that she just applies all over her lid with her finger. She lines her top lid using gray eyeliner, not even black. She puts on blush, mascara, and shimmery pink lipgloss. And that’s it. But the really crazy part is that her makeup always looks nice and professional. Is that just a mom thing? It’s like magic.

I use the moisturizer infused foundation cause I’m a dryyy giiirrl, and I honestly put it on with a silicone beauty blender to build up the coverage and then I blend it out with a regular beauty blender. When it comes to that foundation, that is the best technique in my opinion. Bible. 🙌🏻

I was Casper the Friendly Ghost in the corner with the winter shade of .5 being a wheee bit too dark. I learned how to apply foundation from you because i was the girl who used a dry beauty blender, so thanks for getting me out of that 😅😅. But you are honestly so amazing and have taught me so much!
