Great job as always. I think Gary’s guitar tone on Impact is Imminent the best of his career, and the album is criminally underrated. It probably comes in at #4 for me.

Killer ranking Darcy. I ❤ the Rob Dukes era. I would have them high in my ranking but this is your ranking😂 I agree with your last three worst albums by the band. Cheers Darcy
I’ve definitely warmed up to them more over the years, had all as new releases on cd. Tempo was such a great comeback album, in my mind it was hard to compete with it! Thanks as always my friend 🤘 Take care ~ Darcy
It's one of the best groove metal albums out there and probably has the best musicianship in the groove metal genre. It's just Exodus was born to thrash it up!
A great, underrated band with some great writing and playing. The song "lunatic liar lord" from Persona, has some fantastic solos from 4 different players...looking forward to hearing more..!
I discovered Exodus around 1989 as well, with Fabulous Disaster, and loved The Toxic Waltz. But then, I really didn't pay any attention to the band again until maybe 10 years ago and I've been periodically going through their catalogue since then. Recently added the British Disaster live one, which is great. I think my top three would probably be Fab. Disaster, Tempo of the Damned (Blacklist!!) and Blood in Blood Out, in no particular order. Bonded by Blood has some really good songs, the music is great, but the vocals kind of grate on my senses, otherwise it would be higher for me. Anyway, loved the video, take care!
Hi Darcy!!! Nice to see you revisiting your Exodus ranking and hearing your thoughts about some records that have grown on you after all these years..... i really need to check all of the album they did after their breakup, that's a lot!!! cheers and be well
Great video, Darcy! One of the legendary thrash bands in existence for sure. The Rob Dukes era is my favorite era of the band, and "Let There Be Blood" is the only version of "Bonded by Blood" that I'll listen to. I've just never been a huge fan of Baloff's vocals, and so when Rob Dukes was on vocals and the sound has far more punch to it with better production, it's a no-brainer for me. My ranking would look like this: 11) Force of Habit 10) Impact is Imminent 9) Pleasures of the Flesh 8) Fabulous Disaster 7) Persona Non Grata 6) Blood In Blood Out 5) Let There Be Blood (Bonded by Blood) 4) The Atrocity Exhibition: Exhibit A 3) Tempo of the Damned 2) Exhibit B: The Human Condition 1) Shovel Headed Kill Machine Love your rankings as always!

@@darcysixstringsninelives3493 Absolutely, my friend! I welcome the difference of opinion - it's what makes these things so much fun. As you said, if we all felt the exact same way about these albums, it wouldn't be very interesting! I'm sure there are folks out there who think "Nostradamus" is the best album Judas Priest ever made. Heck, I enjoy that album quite a bit, although it's far from their best album, in my opinion. By the way, I've been feeling the urge to go on another Primal Fear kick recently, which I'll likely do in the next few days - all 14 albums! "Seven Seals" (2005) is my least favorite PF album, but I bet a lot of folks have it ranked pretty high. It's all a matter of taste, and it's a lot of fun diving in!
Great ranking Darcy! Exodus are one of my favourite Thrash bands. and always will be! I can't disagree with a lot of your list here, I'll wait until the new one is out to do a ranking I think, unless we'll be waiting a long time for it! Exhibit A is my favourite of the new albums I'll tell you that! I really dig the Dukes albums, musically they're great! Nice one 😁🤘🏻
Saw them exactly a month ago now and they were amazing, Zetro hasn't aged at all man, his voice is as good as ever, Gary, Hunting, Jack and Lee all are killing it too... went three days after dislocating my knee and tearing a ligament at the Rise Against concert, but fucking worth it lmao. I just got into them after watching Murder In The Front Row. The vocals turned me off back in the day and now I realize what I was missing out on all these years. Good ranking!

Great ranking Darcy. Zetro is one of my all time favourite singers. Tempo Of The Damned is my N.1 Exodus album. Gonna have to revisit their discography. Have a headbanging weekend my friend 🍻🤘.
Great Ranking... I love the music of Exodus, but always had my issue with Souza's Voice, especially on the last two Albums.... and Bonded by Blood remains an all-time classic, such a great Album.
I don't actually own any exodus in my collection one of those situations where I've always known about the band just never got around to checking anything out so this will be a good guide for me and hopefully 2025 will see some exodus appear in the collection thanks darcy!
great ranking Darcy. Your costing me a fortune😃😃 went to my local record store today after watching your ranking and bought tempo of the damned, and low and behold Anthrax state of euphoria was there so picked it up too 🤟🤟
Jack Gibson was already in the band for the reunion with Paul in 1997. "Tempo..." is a modern day Thrash classic imo. Btw, the song "Impaler" has Metallica´s "Trapped under Ice" riff in the middle. I wonder where that came from, I´m talking to you Metallica, hahaha... Exodus early on had a song called "Die by his Hand", now it´s your turn to guess in wich Metallica song that riff landed...
Totally agree with your top two. Force of Habit has grown on me over the years. Impact has some good songs but i find the overall sound harsh and brash. Fabulous Disaster goes up and down my list, has a couple of tracks i never cared for too much. Bonded By Blood Pleasures Of The Flesh Tempo Of The Damned Persona Non Grata Exhibit B - The Human Condition Shovel Headed Kill Machine The Atrocity Exhibition..Exhibit A Fabulous Disaster Blood In..Blood Out Force Of Habit Impact Is Imminent
I have a hard time with the vocals too. To be honest, they are one of my least favourite of the big names in Thrash.. mostly due to the vocals. Riffs and leads are immense, drumming is top notch but I can only take Zetros and Paul Bailoff's singing for so long. I actually prefer Dukes. Having said that, Fabulous Disaster is my number one. Last Act of Defiance, to this day is my favourite Exodus tune. Darcy, just wanna say, I enjoy your channel a lot. Boggles my mind how many albums and CDs you have. I'm very jealous haha.
You know what Darcy, I think you are absolutely right what you have to say about Zetro. His over the top screaming on the last albums goes on my nerves. And on top of that the band tries to be as agressive as possible. Now there is this fine new cover version called "Beating around the bush". How great is this band and how good sounds Zetro still if they are not too thrashy? Fabulous desaster and Force of habit are my favourites. Best song imho is Feeding time at the zoo. Dukes was a good fit too.
The thing I like about Exodus rankings is everyone's is way different, and mine is no exception. Here is mine : 1. Bonded By Blood 2. Fabulous Disaster 3. Tempo Of The Damned 4. Pleasures Of The Flesh 5. Persona Non Grata 6. Shovel Headed Kill Machine 7. Exhibit B : The Human Condition 8. The Atrocity Exhibition : Exhibit A 9. Force Of Habit 10. Blood In Blood Out 11. Impact Is Imminent I agree that Impact could use a remix / remaster with the guitars turned up and more punch on the bass. Good songs but the production makes it my least favorite. Look forward to their new one 🤟🤟
I’m sure Gary would love to have Impact Is Imminent remastered & reissued, but I’m not sure they own the rights to their two Capitol albums. Hopefully that happens someday. Thanks for sharing your ranking 🤘 Stay Heavy ~ Darcy

Their first four albums are classics. I actually enjoy "Force Of Habit". It's flawed no doubt, but I still find it to be highly listenable. I couldn't get into those "Exhibit A and B" albums. Very dull IMO.

I would not acknowledge Let There Be Blood for years...How DARE they redo Bonded with that shitty new singer ! Then the pandemic happened & I basically lived on youtube hiding away from the wife & kids to keep my sanity (lol) & I rediscovered a lot of music that I had disregarded. I decided to give Let There Be Blood a shot & it totally blew me away. Bonded for me is the greatest thrash metal debut bar none & one of the greatest albums period ! They did not need to update it but I am glad they did. It is BRUTAL in a good way & the Dukes era grew on me. That pandemic not only fucked up the world but it REALLY fucked up my wallet from picking up a shit ton of music I had previously passed on. Enough babbling , here is my list : 1. Bonded By Blood 2. Fabulous Disaster 3. Tempo Of The Damned 4. Pleasures Of The Flesh 5. Impact Is Imminent 6. The Atrocity Exhibition : Exhibit A 7. Shovel Headed Kill Machine 8. Force Of Habit 9. Persona Non Grata 10. Blood In Blood Out 11. Exhibit B ; The Human Condition

I like early Zetro, but these past 2 albums the vocals are irritating, in places. Need to dial back the intensity! Thanks as always 🤘 Cheers from Planet6Strings
The last song on Impact being Thrash Under Pressure 🤔 and they proved that they couldn't live up to that statement two years later. Oh the irony 😂. Unless you really have something to say musically like Justice for All thrash albums have no business being a hour long and "Stretchodus" have too many hovering around the 60 minutes mark. I e certainly come around on Bonded a lot over recent years 🤘 #oldmanbladdercomment

Can't disagree with your ranking much. I like Force of Habit though. It still has that Exodus groove, warm production, some great tracks like Thorn In My Side, Feeding Time At the Zoo, Good Day to Die, and Architect Of Pain was next level Exodus. Possibly their most mature writing, a real evolution. I agree it being too long, and the covers are horrible. I like Shovel Headed more then you. My favorite of the Dukes era. Just Dukes felt not confident in his vocals yet. The Atrocity Exhibit albums I barely listened to. They're too long for me. Exhibit B is 78 minutes! Exodus is a band best kept at 35-45 minutes. Gary seems so obsessed with speeding up the riffs so much now that there's no feel, or groove left to them. I can't get into the last 2 albums at all. Too long, Grating over produced modern production, irritating over the top vocals. And I agree on not enough song variety. I agree with Tony Iommi...light parts make the heavy parts heavier. And if you're going to go really intense then keep it short. I think I'm done with Exodus. I'll probably just keep Tempo of The Damned and back.
You made so many great points in your comment! We don’t need a heavy as f#%k Exodus album or those try too hard vocals. You’re right about the live shows, Zetro sounds great! Thanks as always 🤘 Cheers Greg
My Top 3: 01. Force Of Habit, 02. Impact Is Imminent, 03. Tempo Of The Damned. It's strange, I know, but I love that era of 1992 albums The Ritual, Cuatro, Kin, Countdown To Extinction. I don't like the era with Rob Dukes at all. Long, boring and monotonous and his voice didn't fit in.
Flotsam and Jetsam Cuatro is awesome, I also love Drift from ‘94. I don’t dislike Force Of Habit, just trim in down & give it a new album cover, there you go lol. I love how we all hear albums a little differently, keeps things fun! Thanks as always 🤘 Cheers David
The only album i agree with is force of habit. Dukes was not a thrash vocalist imo. And he was def not a good fit for Exodus, which is basically thrash royalty. 8.Shovel headed kill machine
9.blood in blood out.
10. Persona non grata
11.force of habit.
What are your thoughts on the latest single beating around the bush cover?
Can agree.
Maybe tempo little higher for me.
Nice stuff and video as always.
Tempo Of The Damned is a thrashterpiece for sure! Thanks as always 🤘 Cheers Marco
Their first four albums are classics. I actually enjoy "Force Of Habit". It's flawed no doubt, but I still find it to be highly listenable. I couldn't get into those "Exhibit A and B" albums. Very dull IMO.
1. Bonded by Blood
2. Pleasures of the Flesh
3. Fabulous Disaster
4. Impact is Imminent
5. Tempo of the Damned
6. Blood In, Blood Out
7. Persona Non Grata
8. Force of Habit
9. Shovel Headed Kill Machine
10. The Atrocity Exhibition... Exhibit A
11. Exhibit B: The Human Condition
i love force of habit so much
Bonded by Blood had to be number one, Paul’s vocals fit the music very well. I’m not the biggest Zetro fan, I would take Rob Dukes vocals over Zetro’s any day.
I always wished they would’ve done a second album with Paul on vocals. What you don’t like Zetro? I’m adding your name To my blacklist 😂 Cheers brother
@ I’ve always thought that Zetro sounded like a grown up version of Froggy from the Little Rascals 🤷♂️
That Obituary shirt is rocking.
Thank you 🤘
For me personally, Fabulous Disaster is my favourite Exodus album, but that’s just me 🤘
Great choice, great album! Thanks for taking the time to watch & comment 🤘 Take care ~ Darcy
@@darcysixstringsninelives3493 cool little upload man, I enjoyed it. Bonded by Blood, is a great one too tbh, but FD just edges that one for me. Best wishes 🤘
I love Dukes albums ,for me is better than Souza albums….. I like Souza vocal but my issue is when he sing live is no the same energy, btw I like Obituary t shir 🤘 keep Metal bro
That reminds me, I should do a Obituary album ranking soon. Thanks as always me friend 🤘 Cheers from Planet6Strings
I agree atrocity exhibit a I like better than b. Bonded by blood or another lesson in violence is always my number 1. Blacklist is an awesome song
@@michaeluy114 So many great songs on Tempo Of The Damned, we need another album like that! Thanks for watching 🤘 Cheers from Planet6Strings
My fave Exodus tune is Parasite.
Great choice, I love that song too! Thanks as always for taking the time to hang out with me 🤘 Take care ~ Darcy
Haha I must be the only one who likes Force of Habit! But I agree its too long and no need for those cover songs! And I'm getting more into the Dukes era! But can't go wrong with the early classics!
You’re not the only one lol, like I said it’s got some great songs. Thanks as always 🤘 Cheers George
I like let there be blood I think it’s better then original I know that’s a crazy take but I love Rob dukes
Nothing is crazy Vinny, we like what we like! It’s great that we can all express our opinions without someone flying off the handle & if someone does want to fly the handle, then we will just have a good laugh about it 😂 Cheers my friend
Enough babbling , here is my list :
1. Bonded By Blood
2. Fabulous Disaster
3. Tempo Of The Damned
4. Pleasures Of The Flesh
5. Impact Is Imminent
6. The Atrocity Exhibition : Exhibit A
7. Shovel Headed Kill Machine
8. Force Of Habit
9. Persona Non Grata
10. Blood In Blood Out
11. Exhibit B ; The Human Condition
I think you nailed it. Those top 2 are untouchable for me
@@killmetal8937 Great list, thanks for sharing 🤘 My wallet has so many bullet holes from ‘20 & ‘21 lol, the past 3 years I’ve been much more picky.
Into exodus since bonded by blood
That beeing said, dukes was their best vocalist.... zetro became annoying as hell. Dukes Was the perfect combination of baloff and zetro....
@@sixzerothreeonesevensixnine 35 to 45 mins is the pocket for a thrash album, save songs 11 to 13 for another album, no one cares. Ha ha yeah don’t worry I was up for my 3:07 AM piss break too, those beach cerveza’s take their toll 🍻 Cheers from Cancún
There’s a reason Dukes hasn’t been heard of since he was banished. But I know some ppl love that fake tough guy shit that fatass Dukes did.
persona was way better than your ranking.
