Just like I said, I would really, really love to relocate and lived in Charlotte. That's the reason why that I could watch this video a million time and never get tired of it. Long live Charlotte.
I love that this video starts out by flying right over FreeMoreWest, my neighborhood! I spend a lot of time seeing the city from this side of town but have never seen it from this side AND in the air! COOL VIDEO!!
I flew to Charlotte two years ago. I am from Philly, so my flight was from Philadelphia to Atlanta, but we stopped in Charlotte. When we were landing the Pilot said if you would look out of your window you will see the beatiful city of Charlotte. I kept looking for the city and couldn't find it. Then the person sitting next to me said it is the section of land with the two tall buildings, I laughed coming from Philly ,Charlotte looks so small, but it seemed very clean and laid back.
Thanks for posting, cityskylines! Is that building with the "basket handle" at the top the Duke Energy tower? Make another video flying through the handle. ;o) That would be cool. Seriously though, nice vids. Maybe you could do one of these at night or at dusk? Fine job, keep 'em coming!
I moved to Charlotte 5 years, 8 days ago. And i must say, it is a beautiful little city and i wouldnt live anywhere else. The annual bike race and speed street are more important to me than anything other event there. I just only wish it was a bit more alive with people, culture and more skyscrapers. (Im from NY so sorry if i sound picky.) lol.
@eddiet2k3 As a resident for 5 years until very recently I concur 100%...I hate those surface parking lots...the city would be much better of without them.
Beautiful ,visiting charlotte ina few months plan to move there once my hubby get out the military Im from fayetteville nc which is a boring city to me not quite as much to do here then charlotte~
@356ALX..I admit Philly is dirty and so is Camden, especially if you are coming from a little small town, every city up north has its dirty areas and nice parts, like New York,Philly,D.C,Baltimore,Chicago..etc I have seen all of these cities slums, and even in the south also Atlanta and Miami, and even when I stayed in Charlotte. But I still had a good time there
Halifax home of the Halifax Folk Art in MLBaseball, the Halifax Crash in PLB (NBA), and Halifax Waves an altered beast in Ultimate Supreme Football. While Host Burnham (Raleigh Durham) has the Badda Bing in PLB (NBA)
Oh how cute it looks like parts of Midtown ATLANTA or the Buckhead area in ATLANTA which is the premiere shopping and dining Destination for the whole southeast. This was the ATL in late 70's..

Are there any plans of building more big buildings in Charlotte?
Cool views!
@mark40511 basically means parking lot or empty lot with nothing on the land.
Austin and Charlotte are the best.
I love my city
Excellent!
i took a pic of dis from an airplane once. nice view!
I see like 15 buildings and i think that the stadium could've been even closer to downtown
Nice skyline
Its crazy how much this city has grown in just a little over a decade. All those parking lots and grassy fields are now towers or soon to be towers

@eddiet2k3 Good for very cheap expansion, give it 15 years and you'll see some skyscrapers covering that area.
I love Charlotte, but Raleigh is actually growing faster.
Can't wait to move it's colder than Texas in the winter
Yes yes
