"POOR" is a relative term! Catholic School has NEVER been free! Liam Neeson's parents were a loving team. A unit making the Executive Decision to raise their four children Roman Catholic in a predonimately Protestant community even if dad was a Custodian and mom was a cook. My daddy taught me "an honest dollar was the only dollar worth having". You can see by the smiles in a family photo of Liam and his three sisters how happy/loved they were. I've crocheted 50+ years and learned knitting a few years ago. I'm sure their mother knitted the incredible cable-stitched sweaters they each were wearing. Liam tried to teach but his 6'4" blue-eyed hunkiness made ALL THE MICHELLES [The Derry Girls😂] cat-call causing him to quit. Probably the boy who pulled a knife on him in class was a boyfriend of "a Michelle". Acting was always Liam's passion. When you do what you love, you commit whole-heartedly to it. It is why Liam Neeson excels. HE COMMITS! Whether it's Zeus, Priest in Gangs of New York/Silence, Ra' Al Gul, Michael Collins, Schindler, Darkman, TAKEN, customer in TED 2, Aslan, Good Cop/Bad Cop the LEGO Movie, etc. All diverse roles but Liam Neeson becomes the character.
