I am hooked on that video since the algos sent it my way. I first heard reggae in Mexico, Guatemala, 79. Amigo, Black Slate. My ears are trained to reggae. All types. Lee Scratch Perry included... In 1973 i camped on the beach in Valencia waiting for the ferry to Formentera. We had hitchiked from Madrid . After a few "brandy" stops the driver brought us to the beach and said we could camp. It was the end of the Franco époque. Life was cheap. Nobody wore jeans or long hair. We set up our tent in front of hotels half close for the winter. Walking distance to El corte inglés. It was strange to step from the beach right downtown . We had no money but we invested in a nice paella valenciana. We didn't know what it was but people said we should try it.. In those days some red wines were in Coca Cola recycled bottle. barato muy barato. I remember seeing a 'burro" carryng a big load of the nicest oranges i had ever seen. Voilà. In 1973 i camped on the beach in Valencia waiting for the ferry to Formentera. We had hitchiked from Madrid . After a few "brandy" stops the driver brought us to the beach and said we could camp. It was the end of the Franco époque. Life was cheap. Nobody wore jeans or long hair. We set up our tent in front of hotels half close for the winter. Walking distance to El corte inglés. It was strange to step from the beach right downtown .
We had no money but we invested in a nice paella valenciana. We didn't know what it was but people said we should try it.. In those days some red wines were in Coca Cola recycled bottle. barato muy barato. I remember seeing a 'burro" carryng a big load of the nicest oranges i had ever seen. Voilà.
