To use Maxiblocks, do we need a Wordpress theme to be installed first or not required? Also, I use Elementor right now. Should I disable Elementor to use Maxiblocks? Please advise.

You do need a theme. I haven't tried it with Elementor but I don't see why it wouldn't work - give it a try!
