they're not babies. they are college grown ups. ppl need to know the material when it's time to perform. that goes for anything you apply for. coach d is human. she laughed to keep from crying. im so glad she gave them a second chance.. life don't do that very often.
They could have asked her to step out and let her come back with another group as the other girl was throwing her off. But definitely try again next year
@@zandra5471 they actually let her come back later with another group at the end. I thought she did well the second time too. But maybe they’re looking at it from a confidence perspective. Hope she tries again next year!
Aw naw lol that was a sincere laugh from the soul 😭 unprofessional but I sholll would've been laughing too. Just would've put my head down immediately. Some people just don't have it. #4 needed confidence and she would've been alright. The other needed lotsssss of more one on one practice and training. @@just_shaeee

38 & 27 ATEEEEE!!! 37 going to be that girl,1 is really good his form really nice,voice is on point and his tumbling pass ate down! & Damya always going to do it for me And then the past cheerleaders all killed it
I feel like the guys get away with not knowing all the material. Similar to last season. But believe with a little work they will improve like #30 & 26 did.
I think sometimes especially for basketball most of the men’s are used more for like those announcer megaphones then they are for cheering. Well the ones who don’t know it because ik that one guy used it last time but idk if they are doing that again
I believe they know that they are being recorded. She had to know she was not prepared to try-out and should have bowed out gracefully. As far as the coach she's human and there are moments that the silliest thing will tickle you and the more you try to control it the more it makes you laugh. She has proven she is professional on so many other videos that is not in question. I think the only thing she could have done better was not laugh with the other cheerleaders.
As a former HBCU cheerleader, I really enjoyed this, and it brought back so many memories. But I will say if you don’t know the material, please don’t get up there and embarrass yourself. Maybe work on it and try again next year.
26 is a hidden gem. He is leader and can take this team where they need to go. Motions strong and love the stomp and shake but please work on your jumps. You need more tumblers. These forward rolls and cart wheels have to go away. Invest in tumbling. I was a male cheerleader and learned a bhs within a day. When you want it, you will get it. Go rock it out Panthers!

I’m kinda hurt. While we all know the first group didn’t do the best, I think the way they were laughing at them on camera and to other cheerleaders shouldn’t have happened or should’ve been cut out. They may watch this back and be discouraged and/or embarrassed, etc; especially when all they may need is a bit more training. You never know what people may be going through outside of this and auditioning for something takes a lot of courage in itself. Yes, it’s that deep. Regardless, the coaches are still human and will have their own feelings and responses. I think it should’ve just been handled differently to preserve their self-esteem and integrity, because it kinda comes off as bullying, although that may not have been their intention. As a coach/leader you have to be mindful of those things and how you react; plus around whom. But still all love to this team and those two girls ❤️. I pray they never give up on their goals.
I agree! I remember my tryouts (not here) but it's a stressful experience & if I seen my coaches laughing at me like that I wouldn't even want to cheer for them. That's not community at all.

I don’t think it’s cool to be laughing. Keep things professional people do not know who they are hurting. Exactly why I never joined anything when I went to a HBCU college I use to be so embarrassed about people laughing at me and what they were saying and thinking.

I forgot 26 name but I loved him last year and his personality. One thing I’ve noticed about him is sometimes it looks like he “bobble heads” cheer idk if it’s because of his hair or what but I love him
The judges shouldn’t be laughing at those girls who were trying and misstep their materials at all . And I don’t find it funny at all either even on camera. If someone doesn’t remember anything respectfully keep things professionally and move accordingly thank them for trying out and tell them that they need more training to boost their confidence for next season tryouts. Laughing at people does hurt their confidence and may make them feel less confident and discouraged about trying out again. Remember people will forget what you said but will never forget how you make them feel-Maya Angelou . This is example of why I never tried out for anything at HBCU I always get second hand embarrassment when people laugh at me. You will never know what someone is going through mentally, physically or emotionally on the same day of an event like a sport tryout. That’s why I never had a real HBCU experience.

I'm a male and I have a few questions. Don't get me wrong. I know a lot of males think cheerleading is soft and easy and thats not me. I totally know how difficult cheerleading is. Reason why is because more than ten years ago I read a book where the main character did cheerleading and described how hard it was. I also did some research into the sport and got more information into the dangers and got even more insight into how hard the sport is. I also saw kind of how cheerleading tryouts are going into my senior year of high school through football. Which brings me to my questions. How exactly is the process leading up to actual cheerleading tryouts like? A few cheerleaders at my high school said they give you a list of cheers and routines to go over and practice the months leading up to tryouts and they do work with you a little bit on stuff, but at tryouts its all on you. Is that right? I just want a little more insight on the process leading up to actual tryouts
I’m a male cheerleader myself I was the captain of my hs team and currently working on cheering for a potential HBCU. Every schools tryout process is different some schools might have you learn some cheers or make some same with dances. Some schools do more technique based things it’s all different. I say try out see how it goes you never know!! Plus a great new experience

That wide nose motor mouth coach was extremely unprofessional laughing alongside the students in the back. It was a major disappointment to watch and that scene should have been edited out but im glad it wasn't because it exposed her true character. The damaging effects it can have on the young ladies is quite embarrassing. If you hold a certain position you should embrace all components of it. Save the laughter for private home chatter & NOT for the cameras! I hope she learns from this.
You can give critiques without the extra. Talking about coach Dani’s appearance is uncalled for. Also, you have to take into accountability that this is collegiate level. Therefore, that girl knew she didn’t have the material. Takes balls to still get out there, but I understand the reaction, because I thought they were getting pranked with #40 🤷🏽♀️ doesn’t seem like she tried as hard as she could’ve to learn the material
Absolutely @MrDallasboi I agree it was extremely unprofessional on the coach part she should’ve never been laughing in front of those young ladies while trying out especially when they have made scientific mistakes in the process. The coach is responsible to give constructive criticism feedbacks nothing is wrong with that but to sit up and laugh at whoever is tryout is very embarrassing and publicly humiliating . That coach really do not know who she is hurting. I’m so glad that video is not edited out because it exposing her character. Tryouts at HBCUs is stressful and suicidal process.

Those girls may have felt stressed out while they were trying out and they may have known the materials and practice it we wouldn’t even know that but just felt the stress coming on during the big day

@@kaylabrown2463but that’s doesn’t matter she still could’ve given constructive criticism feedback and thank those girls for trying out and ask them to do more training to build up their confidence so they can come back and tryout again. Yes those girls are on the collegiate level now but it’s still about the coach’s action could have been better and she did not need to do all that extra stuff she was doing. It’s embarrassing and humiliating those girls she may not know she hurt. Those girls may have felt stressed out while they were trying out and they may have known the materials and practice it we wouldn’t even know that but just felt the stress coming on during the big day
