Gen. 12:2,3 was speaking to Abram, not Abraham. "In you" is speaking of Jesus. The Abrahamic covenant was replaced by the Mosaic covenant which became the New Covenant. Notice it says the 'house of Israel and Judah', not the nation of Israel.
