- This week was all about the reasons you go to yard sales to treasure hunt. This week was one of my best finds of this year so far but before that we show an item we bought at a garage sale while in Vegas that sold for a huge profit. After that, is the best item I've bought at a yard sale this year for $20. Next, we have some subscribers come into the pawn shop from half was crossed the country to visit and sell us some more silver. Lastly, we find our bread and butter items at another yard sale where we pay $1 for an item and make $35 times our money quick and easy. Sometimes people do know the value of what they have, but getting rid of junk and clutter brings them more satisfaction than the financial gain.
That's my Dad he will give away the store if you said that you could use something he had laying around for a few months.

@@tlozzi Depending on how much they are trying to sell, they may not waste the time to research everything. By now, most people know to do some basic research on old stuff they have to see if it has any value, but again, just don't have the time or the mental well being to do so. It's just easier to price it to sell fast. Or they may be selling it on behalf of someone else who said, just get whatever.
Besides, these are garage sales, not Sothersby Auctions. It's almost a written role that when you have a yard/garage sale, you don't sell anything that requires a line of credit!
This is true. Years ago, my mom gave away a silver tray to a couple who helped her partially clear out the garage because they were too hard to polish over the years. She just got sick of seeing that tarnished thing rolling around the garage.

I thought I was the only one that found Picasso prints 😮 mine came from a delinquent storage locker sale.

It doesn't matter if you find old stock cheap or sterling silverware, if you pay the asking price without haggling, it's fair game. You guys are honest and transparent, keep up the good work!

You're so correct! Been going to sales for 30+ yrs have found 14k dolphin earrings $1, 18k bracelet $.50 many 14k necklaces for $1 and pounds of silver jewelry for $.25 and up. My favorite thing to do is see what valuable item I can find for $1 or less.

In years of going to garage sales I have never once found any silver or gold items. I do not live in a major city though so that could be why
@@Sam-fp8zmme either! thrift stores, goodwills, yard sales.... nothing! I've found tons of silver-plated but no 925 or gold. My father finds stuff all the time though and if he had a better idea on how to tell the difference and what to look for I'm sure he would find so much more.
@Sam-fp8zm man, I started buying silver items at yard sales before ever buying coins. Spokns, tny collector things, copper and brass.sometimes look for items to resale, but mostly looming for silver scrap and cool things

Man, it's crazy I just found a hole Sterling set that was 2179 grams and 4 18k gold shrimp forks 86 grams. i think they called them where under the felt I bought it for 40 bucks. I went back and asked the lady if she know the gold was in there and she said no so I asked her what she wanted for them and she said there already yours and I asked her if 1000 was good enough and she thought I was playing a prank on her. She imenditly broke down in tears when I gave her the money. I even watered up maid my week 1040 for over 7000, not a bad deal. Keep it up, you guys, you're doing a great job.

Trust me, vintage motorcycle/mini-bike helmets sell fast and for good money (I've sold a ton of them). 1970's to early 80's is what to look out for.
Good for you! What a score. You got the silver for $20 bucks and paid the man what he wanted. Some people would have tried to talk him down in price. It is always fun to find a score like that.
You are 100% right on the silverware. Its not my job when i find things for cheap to tell them what they have. I pay what they ask. I had a similar score back about 10 years ago when silver reached about $46 a ounce. I walked in to a pawn shop and they have a entire box marked for $20 for the whole box of silverware. It was all sterling!! over 60 pieces!! Made over $6,000 profit selling it on ebay even after fees and shipping. Is was all Gorham.

Knowledge is his edge on investment. People just always assume old things are useless crap and will sell it not knowing what’s the potential value. I would probably tell them if it was ridiculously underpriced but that would depend on if they were on hard times and it’s obvious to tell. I would feel bad then. Otherwise scoop it up.

You are right. We go to yard sales to buy n pay low for our items. Especially when we are trying to make a dollar here n there. If something is mark $5.00 dollars , we'll that's what they want . No matter if it's in a yard sale or Walmart. Good job bro. I like that you teach us how to do it.

You should be able to hit a lick on that sale. Also glad you finally sold that Motorcycle Helmet. It was worth the wait for the sale on ebay, congrats. I guess some people don't understand about how much time, gas, wear and tear on your vehicles searching yard sales and lots of times it's a bust but every now and then, you pick up something that makes it all worthwhile, and like I have said before, don't worry about the negative comments from some people. Haters are going to hate and most of the time I think it's just jealousy cause I don't think to many people would not purchase something because it was worth more than the asking price. Nice find! About 6 months ago found very similar find. They were asking $50 and that's what I paid. Was very surprised that it wasn't plate when I opened the box. The videos are very entertaining and informative. Keep up the great work.

I agree with you Justin. I believe almost everyone that go to yard sales go looking for treasures. And seems like most people going to yard sales are also resellers. Thanks to your videos, I now find more items that other people seem to walk by and I end up doing pretty good reselling them. Just last Saturday I went to a sale where everyone was walking past a stack of used laptops. Long story short I found a practically brand new Alienware Gaming Laptop. The lady was asking 10 bucks for it which I gave it to her asap. And just like you said, thats up to them to know what they're selling and how much they want for it🤷♂️ Keep up the hustle👌!!
